Transported to Another World: First Enemy A Goblin!

A blonde young man slowly opened his eyes to the sound of something like a bell constantly ringing inside his head...

Abandoned buildings, battered vehicles that lay strewn across the road and scattered debris from various infrastructure that collapsed in the ground lay spread in front of the young man, it was a scene that can only be associated on those video games and movies with apocalyptic themes, usually featuring ruined cities just like now...

"W-What?"

Due to the unbelievable scene presented before his eyes...

The young man tried to slap himself, hoping that somehow the current situation he was in would turn out to be a dream...

Pack-!!(Ignore the sound effect)

But...

Reality is often harsh for some individuals...

"T-This is not a dream...I-I can't believe it!!"

Realizing that he is not dreaming for real, the young man cried out! fascinated and also anxious about the current circumstance he was unknowingly put into...

"I-Isn't this some sort of transmigration type scenario!?"

The young man couldn't help but compare his situation to those, fictions he had read and watched before...

Seeing that no robotic voice or any divine scenario occured to him for a minute, the blonde young man's shoulders can only slump down, a sense of melancholy drawn on his handsome face...

'Haaa...hoping for those ridiculous things sure is the best way to destroy someone's expectations!'

Remarked by the young man in his mind...

At this moment, his attention can only wander to the unknown environment presented before him. Fear and confusion are visible in his light-blue eyes...

The young man thought to himself, puzzled by the fact that something out of the norm happened to him...

For just taking his first step towards the ground, the young man felt happy and proud of himself, it should've been a simple action only exaggerated by him!

Spreading his arms wide, the young man took a deep breath, fully inhaling the air of the surroundings, however...

A foul stench invaded his nostrils, sending tremors in his head. Dizziness instantly hit him!

"Gahhhh! Ughhh!!"

The young man intensely vomits!

"What the fuck is that smell!"

He yelled fiercely! As if cursing the world for its cruel actions that shattered his temporary euphoric experience!(Exaggeration)...

The young man scanned his surroundings, trying to find the source of the extreme stench while thinking of any possible things that might have created such a smell!

But, the young man couldn't further speculate, as his ears picked up a weird laugh of a human but at the same time not human at all!

The young man immediately became vigilant, his eyes became sharp and a dangerous glim can be faintly seen in them...

'Where are you?...'

He silently thought, attempting to hear more of the hideous laugh just now...

"Kekeke..heheh"

"South..."

The young man instantly deduced where the sound came from...

Observing his surroundings for a moment, the young man's gaze settled on a metal pipe not too far away from where he is, silently walking towards it he then immediately seized the 700-millimeter-metal in his grasp!

'How lucky can I be?'

He amusedly thought...

The short metal is covered in rust, an indication of how old and long has this thing been lying on the ground unnoticed until now!

Gripping the rough metal in his hand as hard as he can, the young man then proceeds to walk south, determined to face any horror or monstrosity awaiting him!

"KEKEKE...HEHEHEH"

The maddening laughter grew more pronounced as he ventured further!

'Fuck that voice'

The young man spits on the ground, seemingly disgusted by the unpleasing sound constantly assaulting his ears as his steps further shortened the distance between him and the creature responsible for the hideous laughter...

Soon enough, the young man arrived at a huge rubble, sprawled on the road, and it seems like the creature responsible for his annoyance is currently behind it.

'That foul odor appears to also come from this spot!'

He thought...

"Well, it seems like I need to actually see what creature is hiding behind this huh?"

Curiosity overwhelmed the young man's fear, his lip's forming into a crescent shape!

From a young age, this young man always had the hobby of inquiring or finding out for himself the things which are unknown or foreign to him, he always display persistent curiosity, driven by his desire to explore mysteries! Which the young man found as the most intriguing activity out of anything fun to do!

It always brought him immense joy to finally find or know the answer to this particular question of his...

But sometimes this unyielding pursuit for an answer brought him to some huge predicaments later in life...

Just like now...

"Ugh—"

His attempt to quell the rising nausea, proved futile, as the noxious fluid uncontrollably came out of his mouth, the reason for this sudden distress was...

A diminutive creature about 3'5 in height! Its skin grayish-green, its nose is formed like a hook with pointy ears and sharp long teeth are protruding from its mouth which right now is bathed by the flesh and blood of its unfortunate victim! Its sharp teeth voraciously tearing the victim's flesh with ease!

It should've been a creature that only exists in various fiction and myths! But right now the young man wasn't sure if his eyes are truly functioning or not! Since the creature before him was undoubtedly a Goblin!

And seeing the young man openly vomiting on the ground its attention that should have been focused on its disfigured victim was instantly directed at the slouching young man in front! Its eyes beamed with intense murder and hunger!

"KEKEKEKEKE!!"

The goblin didn't spare any moment as it furiously lunged forward toward its next victim! armed with its sharp claws it tried to end the young man as swiftly as possible by assaulting his head first! However...

The young man was fully aware of the Goblin's drastic actions, despite being sickened by the scene he witnessed before, he resisted the urge to Vomit even further and instantly moved aside his body by sidestepping! Barely avoiding the long sharp claws that could've sliced his head out of his neck in an instant!

Clutching the cold metal pipe in his hands, the young man narrowed his eyes, fully observing the enemy in front of him, which quickly assumed a defensive pose due to its vulnerable position open for any attack upon failing to kill its victim within one strike, however, the goblin's defensive stance was futile. Since the young man haven't attacked him, he was just trying to distance himself attempting to assume a defensive pose instead!

The creature is knowledgeable enough in terms of combat! All those years trying to survive against stronger and bigger enemies in this world by fleeing wasn't all for naught!

It had been able to create proficiency about who's strong and who is weak, who to avoid, and who to target! Which clearly the human in front of him belongs to the latter group! A weak human with a short experience in combat! Now fully aware of it's advantage and the capability of the human in front of him the goblin's smile grew wider!

"KEKEKEKEKE!!"

With a renewed determination, the goblin once again lunged forward, this time his movements and attacks are more deadly and vicious than ever! Throwing aside its goals to end the young man with one swift attack, the goblin decides to be more patient and enduring!

'Shit...'

Seeing the quick assault by the creature towards him, the young man tried to once again sidestep. Attempting to defend himself as long as possible! His strategy is to exhaust it if possible!

'Although this is a blatant risk for not taking the offensive, considering the weapon I had, it surely would take considerable strength and preciseness to strike one of it's fatal points! Not to mention that patience is also necessary for this creature to be killed! And that thing is something I cant afford considering that with my inexperience and skill in combat is lacking, it would not take an hour for this monster to find an opening in me and ruthlessly strike it!'

The young man's thoughts rapidly flashed in his head, observing all his movements with enough consideration and focus, while also dealing with the goblin's change in its approach!

'Fucker, do you really think that I can't discern the change in your attack pattern!? Fucktard I knew that you also plan to exhaust me you disgusting creature!'

While the young man is surely inexperienced in true combat where his own life is on the line, he at least has a considerable amount of knowledge about it!

Trained by the best combat experts and retired militants in the past! the young man has enough proficiency in any situation where strength and mind-warfare is required!

Minutes after non-stop avoiding and attacking...

The goblin ultimately tried to swipe it's claws towards the young man's side, it was an opening he had finally found!

But to his dismay, the young man was fast and flexible enough to bent over his side barely avoiding the sharp claws that threatened to critically gushed his waist!

"KEEE..."

Unfortunately a goblin is still a goblin, despite it's profound viciousness and hard earned knowledge about combat, they are still monsters driven only by their senseless desire and emotion and goblins are known for their especially fragile pride, although the young man wasn't aware of this fact...

And can only desperately defend himself against it's increasingly frenzied assault...
