Chapter 4

Ai yu's mother standing by the sink, arms crossed.

"You already slept the whole day yet you need to yawn?" her mother exclaimed, clearly exasperated.

"Me?"

Ai yu replied innocently.

"No, your ghost. "

Wash the dishes after you're done.

"Mama, I need to complete my assignments,"

Ai yu pleaded, hoping to escape dish duty. "Sigh," her mother sighed dramatically..

"I work 24/7 for this house, and there's nobody who appreciates it . What a sorrowful world, what a burden. Nobody cares about me at all. I carried her for 9 months in my stomach, cared for her, loved her, and gave her everything she asked for. At once! Tell me, God, is this what I deserve after all this?"

Rolling her eyes, Ai yu replied, "You can't throw your tantrums like that every time. I won't fall into your traps.

" Ok so if you don't do the dishes, forget your stupid mobile for a week!"

Her mother declared.

"After lunch," Ai yu promised, only to find herself lost in thoughts of escape as she mindlessly scrubbed a plate. "

"Okay, snap out of it!" her mother snapped, noticing Ai yu's daydreaming.

"How is it taking so long to wash a single plate and three bowls?"

Ai yu sighed.

"Alright, alright.

I suppose I'll have to imagine myself following those steps you just recited to make the dishwashing more inspiring. Rinse, wash, soak, scrub, rinse again... There, are you happy now?"

Her mother smirked triumphantly.

"Someday, you'll appreciate the art of dishwashing, my dear."

"Sure, Mama," Ai yu replied sarcastically.

"Just like I appreciate the art of your melodrama."
