chapter 19

With a cringe-worthy look on his face, the man took a step back, quickly rubbing his shirt as if trying to rid himself of some unseen contamination.

"Eww, a human!" he exclaimed in disgust. "Where do you think you're going?"

Aiyu's eyes widened in disbelief.

"Huh, ew? Aren't you a human too?"

she retorted, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

"And what a fine specimen of creepiness you are! How dare you call me ew? You're the ewww!"

Rolling his eyes in annoyance, the man made a swift motion with his arm and disappeared into thin air, leaving Aiyu in a state of shock. She pinched her arm, feeling the pain. "Ouch, ouch!" she exclaimed. "It's not a dream?!"

"Ah, so you've finally awakened," a melodious voice with a touch of masculinity chimed from behind her. Turning around, she found yet another enigmatic figure.

Aiyu's mind wandered as she took in his appearance - his obsidian hair cascading in layers, meticulously parted to the left, his sun-kissed complexion, and his warm, chestnut eyes that offered her a tender smile.

Unlike the previous encounter, this man exuded an air of refinement and courtesy. Draped in a resplendent crimson uniform, adorned with a delicate blue ribbon, he epitomized elegance.

A formal black shirt, embellished with glistening golden buttons, was neatly tucked into his trousers. A pristine white tie, secured with a gleaming tiepin, completed his ensemble. Every detail of his attire exuded professionalism and sophistication.
