(Julius POV)
Few minutes after hearing the loud explosion, we hurriedly went towards where it came from. While we were walking, I suddenly felt something strange.
"Someone's here..."
It wasn't me who spoke, but my sister.
"The spirits... They said that there are about four people inside here with us on the Ruin. One male and three females....?" She said, sounding uncertain.
Who could that be...? I wondered.
Before I could ask her a question, my sister pointed her fingers in front of us. "They're just around the corner."
"...."
"...."
Seraphina and I exchanged glances before nodding.
"Let's hurry up... I have a feeling something is about to happen."
We approached the direction where my sister had pointed with cautious steps, my grip on my sword tightening as we got closer.
...Isn't he?
As soon as we reached the destination, my eyes widened in surprise. There stood a man with grey hair and silver-colored eyes, gazing up at something while touching what appeared to be a glowing box.
However, what perplexed me even more was the presence of four other people who surrounded him... But didn't my sister say there were only supposed to be three females?
While the others remained cautious, my focus was undivided, fixed on the familiar figure before us.
"...Saber."
It couldn't be... He was supposed to be dead, wasn't he?
Before I could even call out to him, my attention was drawn away by an unexpected notification that rang in my ear.
«Activating 'See Status'»
"!!?"
To my utter surprise, the system had begun to activate by itself, against my will.

For some reason, I couldn't see his attributes. But that wasn't what surprised me the most.
"The last boss... And ruler of calamity..."
His job and title were displayed before me.
Beside me, Seraphina stood in complete silence, her face filled with recognition. She seemed to have recognized the person before us.
'The Saber you once knew is gone,'
Before I could even speak up, a familiar voice whispered in my ears. Seraphina appeared to have heard the same voice.
'He who kills the last adversity shall be granted access to PARADISE.'
We both listened in silence as the voice continued.
'Julius... You are the true Chosen Hero by the Gods. It is up to you to save the world from falling apart~' The voice faded into the air, leaving us in stunned contemplation.

Meanwhile, in a certain church, a message materialized using the smoke of a fire, shaking the people to their core.

(Saber POV)
Julius and I stared at each other for a couple of seconds in stunned silence.
"...."
"...."
I finally decided to break our eye contact and turned my attention towards the four.
Instead of looking at the newcomers, they were all staring at my direction... Or more specifically, above my head.
"What the hell are you guys staring at?" I asked in bewilderment, trying to ignore Julius and his companions behind them.
"C-c-contractor... Are you dead?" Odium stammered, her voice trembling.
"Of course not! How can I be here if I'm dead?" I replied, my annoyance showing in my tone. Despite my irritation, I decided to let her question slide and shifted my focus to the others.
When my attention landed at Solis, our eyes locked for a moment before she raised her hands, pointing at me and then upwards.
I blinked, then let out a exasperated sigh. "What are you guys... Holy f*ck, am I actually dead?"
As I raised my head to look up, I saw a floating halo that resembled a crown hovering above me.
"No... The real question is, 'How can someone like me become an angel!!?''
I thought to myself, my mind racing. After all, I was a pathological liar in my previous life, someone who took pleasure in ruining people's lives.
I was also a lazy brat, averse to anything productive except when it came to studying subjects like science, physics, biology, and more.
And to top it all off, I had relied on my master to survive.
Could someone with my track record seriously become an angel? If so, maybe I should have aimed for something grander, like planning world domination or some other evil scheme.
As I quietly contemplated the absurdity of my situation, Julius finally spoke up.
"What are you...?" he asked.
His question brought me back to reality, and I regarded him with a puzzled expression.
With a stiff expression, I replied, "I'm currently thinking about that myself..."
After I said this, the halo above my head began to glow brightly, filling the entire area with a blinding white light.
"...?"
"Ah..!"
"What in the-!?"
"Wah-!"
The three of them panicked, clearly bewildered by the sudden display, but their leader, Occiditis, remained composed. She calmly crossed her arms and allowed herself to be enveloped by the radiant light.
...
..
.
"I'm back...?"
As I opened my eyes, I found myself back at home.
"Ugh... What happened?" I muttered, trying to make sense of the situation.
Reaper groaned nearby, and I turned my head to see the four of them not far from where I had appeared.
"You guys alright?"
As they finally noticed me, Solis was about to speak but abruptly stopped, her gaze fixed on something below.
Curious, I glanced downward.
"...Wait a minute! Why am I the only one naked!!?"
"Don't ask us, you pervert! Get out!" Reaper grabbed a nearby flower vase and used it to cover her eyes.
"This is my house—Agh!!?"
And then, I was struck by the flower vase thrown directly at my face.
