"For now, let's try that for this hunt."
Calming his burning desire, he tried something he had been thinking of doing since arriving here.

_____________
His stats are now down by thirty percent. But the duration of this is at least 1 and a half minutes.
Usually, he would target one Attribute in the status panel. But recently he learned he can adjust all stats at once, considering them as a set and lowering them to a specific percentage rate.
This may seem feasible to increase all stats at once; he can't keep this up in regular training since he could use the other stat to break through the limit of one of his attributes.
When all are held back, there is no pushing force that can be exerted to push each other all the way.
But now he will try and hunt low-rank monsters by lowering his stats close to them to see if it is possible to break through with all of them at once.
And since he is going to hunt lower-ranking monsters, it wouldn't be that harmful.
"Okay, with this, I could try hunting the monsters with roughly the same stats as them. Although this is risky, it could help me grow much faster."
With that in mind, he started hunting. Along the way, he hunted down monsters like horn rabbits, Big rats, and blade raccoons but didn't kill them. Why?
"I don't have enough space for my bag, so hunting it down today is not going to be useful for me."
He first paces himself with the monsters, analyzing their speed and exchanging blows with them to understand their fighting habits.
He also executed counterattacks during the activation of their racial abilities. Since he started with low-ranking monsters, it didn't take long for him to easily find their weak points.
After that, he raised the bar a bit by training on Steel deers and Charging Bulls. And since they are much harder to train, when they are at a disadvantage, they will run instead of fighting back.
Later, it was almost afternoon, so he stopped and took a good look at the result of his training.
"Good. With this stat, I might even fight toe to toe against a Saber wolf. Let's go look for one first."
Having made up his mind, he hunted one. He started to look for his target's location by following the tips he got on the internet.
Not long after, he found one. "Alright, here's the first target."
Making up his mind, he charged forth on the wolf with his knife, taking it by surprise, and with the use of his mana techniques, he was able to give it a deep wound.
But with a growl, the wolf pushed on him, not minding the wound, and then a distance was made.
"Shit, this thing might have a stronger stat than a regular Saber Wolf. Still, with that wound, I can definitely gain the upper hand on it."
Although he noticed the difference in strength between him and the wolf, he still charged forward, making the wolf growl as he also prepared for the incoming attack.
As Jayven rushed forward, the wolf opened its mouth wide. Noticing this, Jayven then moved to the side, evading its attack, and he followed it with a slice, creating another wound.
The wolf then yelped as he stepped away, gaining distance between the two. Seeing this, Jayven rushed again, not letting go of the chance, cornering the wolf.
The exchange goes on, and not long after the battle ended, the wolf became exhausted as the rush of Jayven's attack kept on coming, which slowly killed it.
"Huuu, that was quite a workout. Too bad I didn't get to break my skill. I guess my approach is not right."
He later organized himself, looking back on the fight and thinking about what he did wrong.
The skill is mostly broken by taking an action that can result in breaking it. Like when I was working out, the main thing about it was accumulation and an instant one-move boost or sudden enlightenment.
He then carefully examined possible situations for his skill growth, and all the ideas he had seemed probable.
Although he kept on getting stronger with this skill, the biggest effect is when he breaks the limit of the skill's effects.
"For now, let's go back. My spoils today are quite good. With this, I could move on to the next phase of my plan."
He then proceeded to dismantle the wolf, and within minutes he was close to finishing it.
But then a sudden rustle could be heard coming from a certain direction. Getting ready to fight, he waited for the monster to get near as he also walked slowly towards it.
Thinking it was a good chance, he lowered his stats again and waited until the supposed monster was about to pop out.
With a strong force, the creature jumped out, charging at him, and with great reaction, he swiftly sliced the neck of the creature.
Swish the head easily left the body. Turning his head, he looked at the monster he just caught and was surprised. What he saw was a horned rabbit, but something was different.
"Isn't this a silver-horned rabbit?"
This is a rare species of horned rabbit, for the top of its head has a silver shine, and although it is not really a silver material, it is much rarer than that, for this is a mana-infused horn.
This material could be used as a weapon as it is by just imbuing mana, but if it is crafted by a skilled blacksmith, it will become a mana weapon that could easily kill E rank monsters and could injure D rank ones.
"Lucky, let's dismantle it and hide it before anyone sees it". As he was about to move, another rustling sound could be heard, and a group of hunters emerged and looked at Jayven annoyingly.
"Hey brat, leave that Horned rabbit there."
Hearing that, Jayven became annoyed. 'What right do they have for me to just comply with their needs? I hunted this down; this is mine.' He thought.
"No, I hunted this, so it's mine."
"What?"
"Are you stupid or what, kid?"
"Yeah, we clearly were hunting that monster; first look at its back; it's injured."
"That's right, this monster would be ours, so don't mess with us."
Hearing that Jayven looked at the monster, and true, it seemed to be wounded at the back. But he still didn't budge.
"So what? I hunted it down first, so technically it's mine. Also, with that shallow wound, it would still get away from you."
"What Jayven said is true; the wounds are shallow, and since it is a silver-horned rabbit, its speed is definitely much higher than a regular-horned rabbit, maybe even reaching the threshold of E rank.
And looking at their get-up, they are not fast in movement, as they would likely be focused on a close-quarter fight, which is heavily focused on exchanging blows by blocking and heavy hitting.
So wanting to outrun a monster that is at an E rank threshold is a fool's errand.
"Heh! I was thinking of toying with you first, but I guess that's not needed after you angered me. Let's just end your life here and now.
"Bring it on." Jayven said as he taunted the group.
"Ahahahaha."
"Nice one, kid, you? Against us?"
"Well, this would be fun."
"Let's go, boss. Let's show this kid how to respect his elders."
"There is no turning back now, kid; you will now learn our wrath!"
As the guy yelled, his other group moved to attack him, not concerned that they were ganging up on a guy who was also a kid.
"Hmph." Witnessing this, Jayven moved as he also attacked the incoming group.
Seeing their move, he swiftly evaded their attacks while also giving a counterattack in return. And before long, the group was stunned, as they were at a disadvantage.
"What the heck are you guys doing? Attack! He is just one guy."
Hearing that the group continued their onslaught as they were ordered to attack again.
Even so, that didn't do a thing, as they were still at a disadvantage.
