Chapter 31: The Second and Final Third Day of The Exam.

As Klein was acting like he was locked up a certain group of people seemed to be monitoring him and started telling their boss of what had transpired.

"Boss, it seems like that guy contacted someone for backup."

"Are you sure?"

"I can't be so sure his device has quite a strong firewall. We can't breach it but we are sure that he certainly made contact outside."

"Well since he contacted the people outside then he must have asked for backup. Get ready to activate the black shade."

"Yes sir."

"Also, prepare some troops and inform higher-ups. Tell them we caught some big fish."

"Affirmative."

With that, the group of people started to make their move from the shadows ready to reveal themselves.

-------The Stadium of Blossom City --------

"Here you are but are you really going to watch the exam today you do know it is not yet time for your examination."

Chris asked Jayven as she let her to the stadium.

"I know but I know a guy there and I wanted to show my support."

"Okay sure." Saying that Chris started to close the door and was about to leave when Jayven raised a question.

"…Um, Ms. Chris."

"What is it?"

"How is Master Klein doing?"

"He is doing fine I guess you will get in touch with him right after the exam, I think."

"Oh, I see well then bye."

With a nod, Chris left the place as Jayven walked towards the Stadium for today the second day of the exam and currently, it is about the production profession.

"I wonder where big brother Richard is?"

Right after Chris Left, Jayven started looking for Richard, the son of the blacksmith owner with whom he worked before. After all, today is the exam test for the sub-profession known as the production class.

Like the First day, the exam for the production Class is also divided into two. The first is the test of their knowledge about their profession and the second is the practical test to show off their skills.

"Oh, his over there." Not long after he found him.

"Hey, Big Brother Richard Confident on this year's exam?"

"Oh, Jayven it's you, I don't know last year was a mishap on my part but I think I am okay now I am not as nervous as before."

A group of kids said to Jayven seeing as he was alone and a little later one of them noticed him.

"Yeah, he was an apprentice cook in where I work. Well, he was more like a part-timer washing dishes until one of our chefs thought he had talent in cooking."

"Woah Sorry about that then."

"No no, you didn't have to say sorry this guy is just a failure who didn't really have what it takes to be a cook."

"Oh, is that so? Then what are you standing there for? Move."

Hearing what the guy who recognized Jayven saying the other guys with him changed from being a respectful tone to a suddenly disrespectful one.

"Why are you deaf?"

Not wanting things to escalate further Jayven just passed through them. Forcing them to move aside as his strength was greater than them,

"Hey-"

"The heck?"

"Forget about him what a loser."

"What a rude guy."

"Yeah, whatever. Oh yeah, that reminds me he said he wanted to be a hunter before. But nah he is useless even after the referral from our senior chef helping him to become a gourmet hunter."

"What a waste of connection."

"No, actually we are grateful to him for that."

"Eh, why?"

"Because one of our seniors has been seen to have potential and became an apprentice to a renowned gourmet hunter."

"Wait is it senior Gustav?"

"Yes, he is taking two exams as of now. The cooking and the hunter exam tomorrow."

"Amazing he will definitely become a big shot in the near future, won't he?"

"You know it."

The group laughed out loud as if they were the guy they were boasting. And with Jayven's current state, he could clearly hear their talk not just him though, but the people near them as well.

"Tch, yeah-yeah, I was unlucky but that's in the past. As much as I want to beat them up, but I don't need to make trouble for myself but maybe after the exam."

As he thinks of ways to get back at them. The tournament started.

And looking intensely Jayven hoped for Richard's victory. And after a whole day of the exam, it was then finished.

"Look Jayven I passed."

"You were amazing over there big brother Richard."

After Jayven congratulated him, Richard's parents came after.

"Look here, son. Her mother said waving to him. You did great."

"You finally passed."

'Give him a proper congratulations, will you?"

"….Good job."

"Mom, Dad."

Richard hugged his parents.

Then Jayven looks at him feeling happy as well. Remembering how he felt in last year's failure. And now he passed he felt glad.

After the exam, it was shown that Richard one a place at the tournament making his future secure.

"Well then, it's your turn."

Hearing that Jayven grimaced a bit, but shortly after he relaxed himself and said confidently.

"Don't worry she won't have a say after my performance."

"What a great bond you two have there."

"Come Aunty well cook something for you."

"You don't need to aunt. Plus, I don't think I can relax that much at your place."

"Oh, fine but remember to visit us after the exam and maybe we can celebrate."

"Sure thing."

They then left in separate places as Jayven walked around from place to place. He reminisced as she stood at many places and thought of how he felt back then and what he feels now.

"I am still anxious but somehow also confident. Anyway, this is not good."

Seeing as he can't shake off his feelings he then started to run and run till he arrived at his apartment.

"Huuffff….huffff. HAaaaa."

After taking a deep breath Jayven got in his room and felt quite refreshed as he slept that night.

-------The Next Day at The Stadium of Blossom City --------

"Well then, it is your time to shine."

"I don't know about that. but I will try my best."

"That's okay I guess…. Break a leg kid."

"Thank you."

As they were talking a solid gust of wind resounded from the dome. A few sets of hover carriers arrived at the top of the dome.

"I guess they are here."

"Are they the examiners for our test?"

"Yes, so do your best. Got it?"

"I will."

"Good, I will be going then."

"Bye."

After she left Jayven then walked towards the Stadium.

The crowds cheer as hundreds of children are now selected to take this year's hunter exam. And then the people riding the hovercraft received the microphone from the mayor.

The Examiner Colonel Lewis greeted everyone as she took their attention with her charismatic voice.

After the introduction, A hovercraft landed revealing boxes. And placing them in certain areas in the Stadium.
