Chapter 55: The dungeon's Safe Zone and It's True Nature.

"Let's just hope this is not as dangerous as it should be," Jayven said as he showed them the passage down the next floor.

"Yeah, if not then."

"We just have to do our best then."

"Let's go"

With that, the group got ready to go down the floors of the newly formed dungeon.

------Back at the group who wanted to conquer the dungeon----

The raid group started going down to the lower floors. Not noticing one of their members conversing with the assassin.

This person was also the one who suggested that the assassin join them.

"Well, well, well, to think I will see the Crazy Blade here, what a treat."

"Heh, you demon activist bastards seem to know something about this dungeon, seeing as they sent you here."

"Not much if we did, I won't be the only one here."

"So, I take it as you know something but got lucky."

"I guess you could put it that way. How about you this can't be a coincidence right?"

Baiting each other for information the two made a banter of their words. As though giving up the assassin Crazy Blade said to him his purpose.

"Well, it is since my target is here."

"Oh, is it one of the civilians?"

"No, it was just some kid that got away."

"What? Your target escaped what happened to you? You playing with your target is a normal occurrence but escape never heard you do that other than you abandoning the job."

"It was some stupid dungeon trap mechanism. Activating that he was then gone. And there wasn't a way to follow them."

"What a waste. And I guess you joined us is that you want to track down your targets."

"Precisely."

"Hey, you two stop dawdling around we need to move fast before the people outside get in."

Noticing them the leader of the group called out for them and with that, the two also started to apologize for their actions.

"Oh yes, sir. Sorry about that I was just checking if this guy can run."

"I'm sorry for delaying sir."

"And?"

"He can run like a chicken."

"…." 

"Whatever that's good enough."

After the awkward silence, the leader of the group stopped focusing his attention on them looked at the others, and helped them instead.

"You bastard."

"Hey, don't be mad at me now. I need to act my part I don't want these pawns to be suspicious.

"Tch fine. But don't touch my target, okay?"

"Sure, sure. But like you said we know something about this place, So don't touch something I told you not to touch."

"I know. On a side note, can the association's people get here?"

"If currently then no. This place should be fortified by now. "

"Oh, so you have ways to prevent them from getting in fast."

"Yeah, as you know our enemy outnumbers us but our faith is unbreakable so I gave a signal before the dungeon was formed." 

Showing a device the assassin understood what he was trying to say.

"So, our group is the fastest to react to this right now. And it is mostly impossible for the dogs of the association to notice this."

"And if they did it will be long done right?"

"Hehe, you got that right. Anyway, I want your cooperation on this."

"You know me, right?"

"Sure, I can pay the price."

"Good then wait for a good performance."

The two then made plans for their cooperation and while they were discussing it, they already hunted a mountain of low-rank monsters. Thanks to their performance no one noticed anything strange between the two.

~~~~Currently Jayven and his groups situation~~~~

Jayven and his group are currently far ahead of the group of hunters that are trying to conquer the dungeon.

Right now, they are in an area that seems to be a safe zone, and in the middle of it is a beautiful clear lake.

"Woah this place is a treasure."

"Or more like how are we still alive?"

"You don't need to ask you should be glad we are."

"He is amazing huh?"

They both look at Jayven in awe as they are reminded of how they climb down the lower floors of the dungeon. 

During the past few minutes, Jayven and his group rushed down to the lower floors of the dungeon. At that time the two noticed Jayven's strength which gave them security and motivation as they followed him to the lower floors.

In the first part of their run, they fought their way out and this continued till the third floor from where they started. If the monster was C rank and below, they would hunt them down.

There was also the time they hunted a B-rank monster which they were able to kill due to ambushing it. But the first thing they did when seeing a group of B-rank monsters was to run.

But what was even more scary was the number of traps that were popping out of nowhere and if wasn't due to Jayven's strong senses they would have been dead. Luckily enough they passed through another three floors reaching where they are right now.

"To think we can run past those monsters just fine how does he do it?"

"Yeah. But that's not all it is like he has eyes everywhere he knows where the traps were."

"That's right is it some kind of special talent?"

"I don't know, Oh yeah, what floor are we on right now?"

"I don't know but one thing is for sure this place is like a safe zone where we would likely be safe from monsters."

"I hope so any way we need to rest so that we can continue."

"Yeah, but are we gonna be safe?"

"I don't know."

The two were feeling uneasy as they were facing a situation, they weren't familiar with. And as they were having that problem Jayven showed up from the lake which can be seen from his wet stature. 

"Did you guys rest up just fine?"

"Yeah, I guess but this is not good."

"Yeah, we are running out of stamina fast and the monsters are getting stronger and stronger, I don't think we will last."

"Yeah, what should we do?"

"Hearing them say that Jayven sighed and spoke."

"I thought so you guys were not doing well since going down."

"Sorry about that."

"Sorry, Jayven."

"Don't be. How about this, I think that you guys need to stay here and hide in a safe place."

"Yeah, that's to be expected."

"I think so as well."

Having already scouted the place Jayven gave his opinion to the two and thought he was right.

"So how are we gonna do it?"

"For now, the safe bet is to hide in that cave over there but that is still risky."

"Your right, that assassin might find us after all."

"Yeah that is true we need to find somewhere well-hidden and secure.

"That's great if there is."

"So, what should we do?"

The two gave their own opinion on this matter as well

"Right down," Jayven said pointing to the ground

"Below?"

"Yes."

"I guess that is okay but aren't we gonna be found out still because of the dirt piled up during digging?"

The two were confused as they thought Jayven was trying to bury them to hide. So they voiced their concerns.

"True if we are digging."

"Wait does that mean?"

"Yes, there is a natural cave down below."

"Woah."

"That's great."

Hearing that the two were amazed, And were onboard with the idea.

"Well. for now, we need to make a scene for them to think you guys are hiding somewhere here. We need dirt."

""Okay.""

"So with that as the start of their plan, Jayven dug holes all around and gathered them in his storage. The two cousins then followed him to the ground below."

There the two set up camp to hide and Jayven helped cover up the cave to avoid suspicion and when everything was done, they said their goodbyes.

"See you guys hopefully I can conquer this dungeon."

"Wish you luck Jayven."

"All the best bro."

"Well then I'll be going now."

Covering the last patch of the cave, Jayven left the place and headed down to the next floor.

Upon arriving there he noticed how different this place was from the floors he was in. Unlike the one from the upper region where it is a cave with little illumination to light the place the floor Jayven was currently on was raging hot.

"So, this place is a fire-type and cave-themed dungeon?"

Technically the dungeon has different biomes depending on what it was. And having many changes in a new one means this dungeon has a possibility of becoming a huge ranking dungeon.

This means the dungeon currently in was at least a B rank or higher dungeon. Which he can deduct from what he had experienced.

'For now, let's see what the monsters here can do.' Thinking so Jayven started to go face the challenge up ahead.
