Chapter 73: Successful Enrollment (Volume 2 End)

"Then what about its use?" Wanting to know more about it they asked her in more detail.

"It is a programming device helpful for the students and us alike. As it can assist further in hiding our data from certain unwanted situations."

Hearing that they finally understood what was happening except for some who wanted to try to dig deeper into this.

"But what about that boss in that kid's room?"

Being in a difficult position since he started all of this Professor Grayson tried to ask. Since he started this, he wants to further clarify his stance so that not only can he protect his reputation but also somehow redeem it.

"That is a manufacturing problem, I think. And because of that the system compensated the kid and gave him the right to get admitted to our academy."

"That seems to be right."

"So, our equipment was the problem huh?"

"Tch fine, let's just say it is."

"What should we do about those who know? There will be those who will question us this will damage our reputation. And so is our credibility due to the defects of our products."

"No, it won't."

"What do you mean?"

"We will make a public statement and tell them the greatness of our newly installed system. And for the one who manufactured the humanoid robots, we will ask them to get reimbursement for this. But we will continue working with them as a way to get benefits from their mistakes."

"I see that's good."

"As expected of the principal."

"We can raise our reputation and no one will question us."

"I agree with the principal. With this, we can have a fair look at the public and even if they are skeptical, it won't damage much our reputation."

"Well then now that we agreed on this you may all leave."

After that, the teachers left but one who didn't like it was Professor Grayson he clicked his tongue as he got out.

Once they were all out the principal released a mouthful of deep Breath.

"This is annoying why did I have to lie like that? Although it is true, that we had a backup system it is mostly that lazy fox. As for the place I need a way to make it up for them because I made them a scapegoat."

Thinking about the lies she made she sighed again.

"This will bite me back one day, and if it does, I will take that lazy fix with me."

With that as he declaration, she started working back again.

-----Maze Mansion-----

Days passed and Jayven had enrolled for his secondary choice of school and he did well in those but the nine paths were another matter.

"Ha, why did that happen how come I didn't notice the time limit? If only I had looked at it early on, I would have passed."

[There is no use crying over spilled master.]

[That's right Sir Jayven It is normal to fail, just work hard in the other academy.]

Currently, Jayven is mopping over his failure in his first choice of school. So, with no choice, Miz tried to comfort him and Orb who is now able to interact with him due to the new device he had just acquired.

"Yeah, you're right. I just felt it was such a waste you know. Jayven said with a sigh as he regretted what happened."

So, Jayven was not in much of a motivation to move. A message was sent to his device in which Orb informed him.

[Master, there is a notice for your application.]

"Is it from the other schools I had just applied to? Which one is the second or the third?"

"Neither master it was the first."

"Nine Paths." Jayven muttered as he heard who sent the message.

Feeling another wave of emotional attack Jayven smacked his face on the table. Afterward, he asked Orb what was written on it expecting a negative message.

"Is it about my rejection of the application?"

[No, it isn't Master.]

"Then are they criticizing me?"

[No Master, on the contrary, you passed and they seemed to be apologizing for what had happened.]

"What do you mean?"

[It is like I said please take a look.

Saying that Orb pooped out the message for Jayven to see. And there he saw the message they had sent him. 

It is written that there were some technical difficulties with their equipment and because of that, they felt responsible for the result of his test.

But since this was a test, they couldn't be biased so they estimated his ability by calculating the time and his performance in the test.

The result is that they have accepted that he passed since the results show that he actually would have passed the test so they admitted that it was their fault. 

Along with it, they will also explain why it happened to the public to avoid misunderstandings. Not only would they let him get admitted. but he will also get an A-class treatment as compensation.

After reading it he tried to pinch his cheek trying to get the sense of the reality and the results.

"Ouch! It hurts. It's real. I'm in. I got in!"

Holding the device Jayven Jumped up and down like a kid, realizing that he had accepted, making all his hard work worth it.

[Congratulations Master.]

[Congratulations Sir Jayven.]

Noticing the clear joy Jayven had for his acceptance the two AIs congratulated him.

"It is time for celebration!"

Then to commemorate the situation he made a feast for himself. Although alone he still made the feast.

As he was preparing, he contacted everyone he knew to let them know that he was accepted into the academy, in which they all congratulated him. Everyone except for Grandpa Zed since he left with no way to contact him.

"Too bad he didn't leave any of his contact info I wonder why?"

[Did you finish contacting everyone you know?]

"Yes, Miz I did. How about you? Did you send my message to Master?"

[Yes, it is done he said that you could do better next time and avoid what happened.]

"That's to be expected."

[Well even if he said that he was quite glad you were able to get in.]

"I hope so."

[Well then that's all.] After that Miz left Jayven alone as he looked at the moon and stars in the sky.

"I will give it my best for now I need to take some rest to get ready for the entrance ceremony."

------Klein's Current Location-------

Currently in a forest where monsters roam freely and numerously Klein and Chris are there as if they were on a mission.

At the moment they are resting and Klein is in contact with Miz moments later he puts down his device and seeing this Chris asks him What it is about

"Did Miz contact you?"

"Yeah, she said that he passed."

"Which school?"

"The Nine Paths."

"Didn't she say something about doing horribly?"

"It was some technical difficulty so he was given a pass."

"That's good. Anyway, we needed to get the item already these monsters kept on popping. It won't be long till the Demon Activist sends their own twelve."

"Oh, you guys are here as well." As Klein and Chris are busy talking a person who seemed to be his ally called out to them.

"Clinton what a surprise I thought you were going to get along on vacation."

"It was an emergency they said something about the demon activist sending their own twelve great advocates."

"So, they want to make sure we get this thing huh?"

"What else can I do? Also is your disciple okay with the "

As he was about to talk a strong roar could be heard. And there they could see a huge monster with a feature similar to a dragon but with no wings.

"Shoot a Titan Class Drake."

"It is rampaging."

"Did it make contact with the item?"

"I hope not."

"Let's go."

Like they said there is a title given to monsters reaching a certain strength. And Titan class is a title given to monsters that can use ether.

"This is going to be difficult there is a town near here. A monster wave will happen if we are not careful."

"It's not a problem as long as we take care of it fast."

"That's right."

Having made up their mind the group started their hunt.

-------At the Maze Mansion------

After receiving the approval from the academy Jayven instantly got ready and prepared to go to the academy the next day.

"Okay then goodbye Miz"

[Yeah, let's see each other when you return Sir Jayven.]

After saying my farewell, I left the Maze Mansion and went to the academy's dormitory.

There is a rule in the academy that one needs to stay in the vicinity of the academy's campus since it is mostly based on the security and comfort of the students.

So, staying here is very beneficial for all students. Right now, Jayven is there to finish his enrollment and get the benefits that were promised to him.
