Auralia is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu instructor at her late father’s failing dojo. She’s one payment away from losing everything her father built, where her childhood memories live. 

So, when the chairman of Ezra Holdings wife, Maria Ezra, comes to Auralia with a proposal of being her son’s bodyguard, Auralia cannot help but agree to the proposal. In exchange for protecting her son, Alexander Ezra, for one year Auralia will not only get a six figure salary but she’ll also get the title deed to the dojo’s building, allowing her to save the dojo.

There is one problem however. Alexander can’t know that Auralia is his bodyguard. Thus Auralia has to marry the man, acting as his wife while secretly protecting him.

An arranged marriage is not something she wants and her husband-to-be makes matters worse when he hands her a contract with terms to which she has to follow in exchange for marrying him.

Will she be able to navigate the world of the rich as Alexander’s fake wife without the man discovering the real reason behind her marrying him? And can she keep any feelings from developing between the two?

The Bodyguard Wife

The next day, Auralia woke up later than usual, still drained from the events the day before. They had only been able to get a few moments of peace before Maria had dragged them back to the party.

Everything was a blur after that, her uncle driving her half-asleep self and the rest of the family back home. One of the maids managed to get her out of her dress before she finally flopped on her bed and went to sleep.

Picking up her phone, she saw it was 11am. Too late to call for breakfast despite her grumbling stomach. It was best to wait for lunch. So, instead she got ready for the remaining day before going back to her phone.

Opening her phone, she found a few notifications, two messages from Alexander and another from an unknown number. Checking Alexander's messages first, she saw he was making sure she got home safe and letting her know someone from the agency would message her.
