Winning Battles Easly.

Alex continued to watch the fights unfold in the arena. Most of the matches were lackluster to him, as he felt confident that he could defeat any of the participants with a single punch. The techniques displayed by the fighters didn't interest him either. But he noticed colorful elements here

"I wonder if my Power element is rare compared to the other elements used here," he mused, looking down at the ongoing battles.

Among the participants, a pair caught his attention. A young man with a longsword was facing off against a young girl armed with a short sword. Both of them were utilizing their elemental powers in their fight.

--

"Ugh, this is getting so boring. When is it going to be my turn?" Alex sighed impatiently, eagerly waiting for his chance to participate.

--

After about fifteen minutes had passed, Alex found himself dozing off in his seat. However, his eyes snapped open when he sensed something extraordinary happening.

"Wait, is that her?!" Alex sat up abruptly, wide awake now. His gaze was fixed on the arena.

Two figures were locked in combat. One was a colossal man made of rocks, towering over ten meters tall. The other was a striking girl with vibrant rainbow-colored hair. The colossal man looked down at the rainbow-haired girl with a grin.

"You should surrender, sweetheart. I don't want to have to kill a beautiful young lady like you, Ran Yunxia," the colossal man said, his tone oddly friendly given the circumstances.

Ran Yunxia stood still, seemingly unmoving.

"BEGIN NOW, PLEASE!" The announcer's voice echoed throughout the coliseum.

"GAHAHAHAH, DIE, Ran Yunxia! [Mountain Shatter Punch (5 Mountains)]"

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

A punch that held the force of five mountains crashed down towards the girl.

But Ran Yunxia remained standing, seemingly unharmed by the powerful attack.

"What's going on? Is she giving up?"

"Maybe she's frozen in fear?"

"Wait, isn't she Ran Yunxia? The prodigious swordswoman?"

The crowd was bewildered by her actions. However, just as the punch was about to hit her, it suddenly halted in mid-air.

Everyone was baffled. The colossal man then announced his surrender.

BOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

He dropped his arms, his face pale. "(If I had struck her, I'd have been instantly defeated. What a monstrous strength.)"

"Ran Yunxia wins!"

The colossal man left the arena, his confidence visibly shaken.

"What just happened?"

"I couldn't see a thing!"

The audience was left in astonishment.

Without opening her eyes, Ran Yunxia gracefully exited the stage.

--

Back in the VIP room:

"Wow..." Alex's eyes sparkled as he looked at her. "When she drew her sword, slashes appeared in the man's eyes. It's like an intimidation technique or aura manipulation, but there's no killing intent." Alex was intrigued by the girl's ability.

"It seems like I've found my target," he murmured to himself. He resolved not to miss any of the fights, as he realized that even the seemingly insignificant battles could provide valuable insights.

He began to understand aspects he had missed before and spotted weak points in his techniques that needed refinement.

--

Three hours later:

"The next fight is between Zhi Li and Li Xuanwei!" The announcer's voice rang out, drawing Alex's attention.

Alex smiled and activated his talisman. A door materialized on the glass in front of him, and he jumped down into the arena, excitement bubbling within him.

"Let's go!" he exclaimed.

Facing him was a swordsman who resembled a samurai, complete with closed eyes and traditional attire. It was clear that the swordsman underestimated Alex greatly. Both combatants approached the center of the arena.

From his vantage point, Alex noticed that only Old Chang's VIP room lacked an invisibility feature. He could see Chang watching him with a smile, and he nodded in response.

"BEGIN! 1, 2, 3!" The announcer's voice rang out.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

With 3% of his power, Alex launched his attack.

CLANG!!!

Li Xuanwei effortlessly blocked the attack with his hand. He smirked and taunted, "Is this your full power? My advice: give up now. You're no match for me."

Alex simply smiled in response.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

"Another warning: If you don't give up, I won't hold back. I don't want to harm a fellow disciple," Li Xuanwei cautioned.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

"Another warning: Strike me one more time, and I'll cut you down," he added, partially opening his eyes.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

"THAT'S IT! [AIRLESS SLASH]!"

BZZZZZTTT!!!

A white-colored slash streaked toward Alex with incredible speed.

The audience expected Alex to be defeated, but what followed surprised everyone.

CLING!!!

"Well, it seems like this is your technique, huh?" Alex caught the sword without any expression and turned it around as if he was examining it.

He wanted to see if he could learn the technique just by catching the sword, but it was apparent that he couldn't.

"IMPOSSIBLE!!!" Li Xuanwei's eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets.

"[Mountain Shatter Fist (10 Mountains) Max]," Alex declared. He instantly appeared in front of Li Xuanwei, though he didn't use his full power. He didn't want to launch his opponent into space. he wanted to beat him so that it would seem very much nonchalant easily.

BOOOOOOOOOM!!!

"AGHGGGHH!!!" Li Xuanwei cried out, propelled backward until he hit the barrier shielding the spectators.

the arena fell silent.

Then, crowd erupted in cheers, calling out Alex's name.

Alex waved the audience with grin.

"ZHI LI WINS!" The announcer's voice resounded.

--

In one of the VIP seats:

"Who is that?" An arrogant-looking young man looked down Alex.

"I'm not sure, sir. He wasn't on our list of potential threats," an attendant replied.

"You incompetent fools can't even gather information on such a powerful participant? Get done now!" the arrogant young man snapped, taking a sip of his drink.

--

Similar conversations occurred other VIP rooms, as participants attempted to unveil Alex's identity.

Alex glanced up and saw Old Chang's smile. He headed back towards his VIP room from the arena, securing his first victory in the tournament.

He had no intention of revealing his full strength. Instead, he aimed to establish himself as a rising genius rather than an overwhelming monster. He knew that if he didn't, many would consider him a threat and plot against him.

End of Chapter.
