Some Kind Of Demon Sculpture.

BOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

"Fascinating, you were alive?" Alex looked at the ice sculpture that was slowly shedding its ice.

"You seem quite intrigued by intruders." The ice sculpture, dressed as a servant, spoke.

"IT'S ALIVE?" Ran Yunxia immediately assumed a defensive posture.

"Yes, I am indeed alive, young miss. You two should be the ones dead, but this young man here was swift to sense my energy," the ice fell away completely, revealing a handsome young man with black hair and black eyes.

Alex was taken aback, not by the man's strength but by his appearance. He didn't belong to this world; he resembled a European aristocrat.

"Alright, who are you and where is this place, waiter?" Alex inquired seriously.

"I don't know where this place is, but my name is Xiao Wei... and the queen you're looking for is our great ruler, Queen Lin Xunxiang," the waiter proudly stated, glancing toward the ice sculpture of the queen.

"Sure, sorry for intruding. I don't know what you guys are or how you survived being frozen here, but we'll wait until the blizzard subsides before we leave," Alex answered with a smile. he didn't even want to know anything about this place as he felt this would be a very long explanation.

Xiao Wei grinned strangely and rose, whispering, "Of course, kind travelers. But there's one rule in this castle."

"What kind of rule?" Ran Yunxia questioned, her hand gripping her sword as she eyed him.

"When you come here... YOU STAY FOREVER!!!" Xiao Wei's smile warped into something sinister.

"OH SHIT, FUCK!!!" Alex grabbed Ran Yunxia, attempting to leave, but...

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

The room detonated.

"FUCK!!!" Alex escaped the castle just in time, carrying Ran Yunxia in his arms. She had lost consciousness.

"What was that!!!" Alex stared at the castle, wondering if the intruder had blown himself up, but the structure remained undamaged.

"Illusion?" Alex was baffled by the scene.

"No, this is too strange. We need to get out of here," Alex decided, the bizarre events making him wary of the castle's inhabitants.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

He hurriedly distanced himself from the castle.

Eerily, a face materialized at the castle's grand entrance, wearing a smile.

Crack!

Cracks began to form on the castle's surface.

--

Alex fled the area at breakneck speed, his mind reeling from the encounter. He couldn't make sense of the blinding white light he had experienced, and he wasn't eager to comprehend it.

"I saw those cracks spreading through the castle... and the energy from within them was horrifying," Alex muttered, desperately heading towards the first human settlement he could locate on his map.

--

The blizzard raged on relentlessly.

Growing more intense, the blizzard made navigation even harder for Alex. Despite his cultivation, he struggled against the elements and was even buried in the snow several times.

"This wind is unbelievably fierce," he muttered as he collapsed.

"I need a place to rest. I'm expending too much energy trying to navigate through the snow..." Alex decided and sought refuge near a cliff, creating an improvised cave. he also took out few of the food to cook and regain his energy.

"Was that really a castle, or just some old building frozen by a powerful cultivator?" Alex wondered as he waited for the blizzard to subside. his thought went through many different things as he thought about the history of the weird building they went now.

--

30 Hours Later.

"It looks like the sun is finally rising," Ran Yunxia remarked with a cheerful smile.

"Indeed," Alex responded, his tone cold.

They were roasting food over a fire.

They were sizzling.

--

The sun eventually emerged from the clouds.

"Let's go," Alex announced, his expression still somber.

"Of course, hah," Ran Yunxia agreed, her smile undeterred.

"[Mountain Shatter Fist (10 Mountains) Max]," Alex muttered, delivering a light punch.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

Ran Yunxia was taken aback by his display of power, her surprise evident.

However, she quickly raised her hands, deflecting his attack effortlessly.

"How did you...?" She grinned manically.

"There's hardly any time to see her smile. It's pretty obvious when she does, and you were smiling like a dumbass the whole time... So, are you some kind of spirit?" Alex asked, scrutinizing her. He understood Ran Yunxia was being possessed by something. he wanted to find out what was that.

"Ha... Ha... Ha... HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! A SMART MAN, BUT NOW YOU SHALL PERISH!!!" She seized her sword, slashing at Alex.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

Alex narrowly evaded the strike and left the cave. He surveyed Ran Yunxia.

"(Is it some kind of Demon? like demons from legends some of them could take control of the human body, not ghosts but they were something different, i have read that in the books.)" He looked at Ran Yunxia and smiled "Looks like you are going to be very strong opponent right?"

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, SMART BOY!!! NOW YOU DIEE!!!" She slashed her sword to Alex but...

Nothing happened except.

"AAAAGHGGHGH!!!" Alex immediately felt something in his mind, it was like his soul was being cooked alive, he descended to the snow and fell to the ground, he was feeling extremely big pain right now, he was being tortured.

"My attacks go for the soul, and looks like you were not defending your soul huh?" Ran Yunxia went closer to Alex as she looked down she noticed a smirk on his face.

"[Soul Sword Technique (1 Soul)]"

"WHA--- AGGHHGH" Ran Yunxia didn't even have a chance to scream before the soul that was possessing her was annihilated instantly. She fell down on the floor and at the snow, the soul didn't even know how this person had any attacks that could concern souls.

Alex stood up and cleared the snow of his body "I hope she is okay, i only targeted the invader's soul. but well i guess tha---" Alex wanted to say something but.

A peculiar expression appeared on his face as he pondered the recent events. Something unusual appeared in his system's prompt, prompting him to furrow his brows.

"What... the... hell..."
