War.

Alex stood there, staring in disbelief at the lifeless form of the molten sovereign. He struggled to comprehend how Chang Li had managed to accomplish such a feat—cutting Fyrnok in half. His thoughts raced as he processed the shocking turn of events.

"Was it Chang Li? Did he really do this?" Alex pondered, his mind whirling with confusion and awe. He approached the bisected body, still struggling to come to terms with what he was witnessing.

"It's not the time to be amazed," he finally muttered to himself, shaking his head to clear his thoughts. Picking up Chang Li, who was unconscious in his arms, Alex decided to leave the cave and seek refuge.

However, as he exited the cave, you could see a glimpse of a slime-like creature near Fyrnok's remains. The creature morphed into a mouth and consumed Fyrnok's body in a single gulp.

Outside the cave, under the open sky, Alex took a deep breath, relishing the fresh air after the intense battle. He was exhausted, mentally and physically.

"I need to rest, bathe, and get something to eat," he mused, his thoughts focused on self-care. With Chang Li still unconscious, Alex decided to head toward the sect where he hoped Ran Yunxia would be.

But a sudden realization hit him like a bolt of lightning. "Oh shit, I forgot about Fengying!" Panic surged through him as he contemplated the possibility that his familiar could have been caught up in the battle.

Determined, Alex closed his eyes, attempting to sense Fengying's energy using his Heavenly Divination Technique. He searched for any trace of her presence, hoping for a sign that she was okay.

After a moment, he sighed in relief. "Phew, I can't detect anything. She might not have been teleported here, or perhaps she's concealing her energy," he surmised. The uncertainty gnawed at him, but he realized that dwelling on it wouldn't help. If Fengying had arrived in this location, then others who had been observing the battles might be there as well. but he has not seen any of them which would mean they didn't come here and Fengying would not be lucky enough to come here.

With his thoughts in disarray, Alex decided to set his concerns aside for the moment and focus on resting and recovering. He began making his way toward the sect, holding Chang Li close.

there was a tranquil view of a calm sea. Fish leaped from the water, creating ripples that added to the peaceful atmosphere. However, the serenity was short-lived.

A booming shout shattered the calm, causing ripples of its own on the surface of the water. A white-robed figure emerged from the sea, bellowing in anger. His clothes were stained with blood, and his powerful physique resembled that of a bodybuilder.

"AAAAAAAGHGGGH DAMN YOU, BASTARD!!!" The enraged figure's voice echoed across the ocean as he directed his fury toward the sky.

The cause of his rage was a golden-robed person hovering in the air—an elderly man named Grand Elder Xuan Wuji from the Scarlet Carnage Sect. Despite his calm appearance, Xuan Wuji emitted an air of authority as he regarded the furious individual below.

Bai Qingtou, the white-robed figure, struggled to find words in the face of Xuan Wuji's presence. He stammered, "You... you... you dare break the agreement???!!—"

"Are you suggesting that we broke the agreement?" Xuan Wuji interrupted, his tone calm and composed. "You and your people have attacked our sects countless times, infiltrating them with spies. You accuse us of breaking the agreement, but you conveniently overlook your own transgressions."

Bai Qingtou was taken aback, unable to respond. Xuan Wuji's calm demeanor contrasted sharply with the anger and frustration Bai Qingtou felt.

"Furthermore," Xuan Wuji continued, his voice carrying a hint of cruelty, "you've slaughtered innocent villages and targeted geniuses in our territory. We tolerated your actions to honor the agreement."

Bai Qingtou struggled to comprehend the accusations being thrown at him. He knew that his sect had infiltrated other sects, but how did they find out about the spies? The techniques used were supposed to be foolproof.

Xuan Wuji's tone turned derisive. "he said, and anyway..." He looked at Bai Qingtou and smiled coldly... "YOU GAVE US THE NAME OF DEMONIC SECTS, WE ARE JUST LIVING UP THE NAME!!!" He put his hand down.

"NO... NOOOO!!!" Bai Qingtou's desperate cries fell on deaf ears as the spiraling energy descended upon him, unleashing a powerful explosion of golden energy that consumed the entire area.

Alex couldn't help but marvel at the beauty of the surroundings. Lush mountains, picturesque scenes, and the cheerful interactions of the people created a sense of tranquility that was a welcome change from the battles he had fought.

Meanwhile, he made his way to the sect where he hoped to find refuge and rest. The scene he encountered was vastly different from the battles and chaos he had left behind. People bustled about, and engaged in various activities like trading and socializing. A sense of normalcy hung in the air, a stark contrast to the intense battles he had just witnessed.

"This atmosphere is refreshing," Alex remarked to himself as he observed the cheerful scene. The sect appeared to be a bustling hub of activity, filled with people going about their daily lives.

He landed and gently set Chang Li down, waking him from his slumber. "Wake up, Junior Brother Chang. We've arrived," he urged, giving him a light slap to rouse him from sleep.

Feeling relieved to be in a more tranquil environment, Alex hoped that they could find solace and a chance to recover from the ordeals they had faced.

Alex couldn't help but marvel at the beauty of the surroundings. Lush mountains, picturesque scenes, and the cheerful interactions of the people created a sense of tranquility that was a welcome change from the battles he had fought.

"Rest is a luxury, especially after everything we've been through," Alex thought, lying down to rest beside Chang Li. The tranquility of the sect provided temporary from the challenges that lay ahead.
