Scrolls.

Alex's shot struck the Elder, or so he thought. Yet, the impact was far from fatal, as the Elder's protective energy barely saved his life. The tremors echoed through the room, a testament to the strength of Alex's attack.

"What was that!!!" The Elder bellowed in shock, his body quivering from the near-death experience.

Unbeknownst to Alex, the little spirit detected his presence, pointing out his location amidst the shelves.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

The Elder retaliated by unleashing a powerful punch, obliterating the targeted shelf. However, the anger of the little spirit was directed elsewhere. "(I will catch this ant!)" it vowed, its annoyance palpable.

"I will ca—" The Elder's threat was abruptly cut off by a sudden sensation in his chest. His eyes widened in disbelief as his chest cavity opened up.

"How is this possible..." The Elder's voice trailed off, his life extinguished before he could complete his sentence.

"(You could have simply let me read undisturbed, old man. What a foolish individual)," Alex sighed, his frustration clear as he glanced at the bookshelf. "(What a waste of knowledge.)" His gaze shifted to the little spirit. "(I can't reveal myself; I don't know if this spirit is capable of attacking.)"

Moving towards a different shelf, Alex continued to gather scrolls, his mind focused on extracting as much information as possible from the library.

He made his way towards the exit, closing the door behind him.

--

"I need to leave swiftly," Alex mused, assessing the planetarium's room.

"That little spirit will undoubtedly circulate my image. I must attract Grand Elder Chang's attention and make my exit before it's too late," he reasoned, hastening his departure.

Aware that his invisibility was an invaluable asset, Alex marveled at its versatility, impressed by its ability to conceal him even from those multiple realms above his own.

--

Emerging into the open, Alex scanned the area.

"Have they all lost their wits?" He raised an eyebrow incredulously. The secret library had been infiltrated, and yet the response seemed woefully inadequate.

"I wonder what's happening in the sky now," Alex mused, tilting his gaze upward.

The ongoing battle persisted, but the intensity had diminished. The luminous exchange of energy had transformed into a more controlled dance.

"They got tired so quickly? Haven't only three hours passed?" Alex's previous assumptions about the invincibility of Overlords wavered. he thought they were the strongest people but to get tired in 3 days it was really too weak in his eyes...

The battle continued, albeit at a reduced pace and strength. they were flying through attacking each other, lights were flowing really fast, two lights intertwined with each other, Old Chang was exerting an enormous amount of Golden Energy, Yuan Tian was exerting Light Green Light force that was extremely beautiful, both of them were fighting each other with full power trying to make each other perish... but it looked like they were same in the absolute strength.

"I need to contact Grand Elder Chang urgently," Alex resolved, preparing to ascend into the sky. he wanted to contact Grand Elder Chang but he didn't know if he had enough power to be noticed by him, he was going and fighting the very powerful enemy and one distraction could be his destruction... but Alex didn't have any choice now, he didn't know how to get back to the Eastern Continent not even where the Continent was.

--

"This battle has raged for three days," Elder Bai murmured, his gaze fixed on the skies.

"They've fought at full strength for so long. It's remarkable that Sect Master Yan still possesses enough lifespan... Were it not for this intrusion, he might have retained his status as Sect Master for another millennium," another Elder mused.

"You're correct. Despite consuming their life energy for three days, he continues to battle the Golden Dragon Huanglong," a third Elder confirmed.

Unbeknownst to them, a lurking figure observed from behind.

"(This is a splendid vantage point for the battle. I hope he's watching,)" Alex thought as he gathered his energy.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

A force equivalent to the power of ten mountains surged into the sky.

"AGHHH!!! WHAT WAS THAT? OH MY GOD!!!" Elders exclaimed, their shock evident.

--

Perceiving the energy surge, Old Chang's attention shifted. Gazing into the distance, he spotted a silhouette, waving at him from afar.

"(Zhi Li? What is he doing here?)" Old Chang questioned silently, before reengaging in the fierce battle.

The distant figure caught his eye, and the movements of Alex's lips were deciphered by Old Chang's acute senses.

"Elder Chang, don't waste your life like this. You once said you wished to witness someone's ascension in another world. I accept... Survive, and make sure you see your dream fulfilled," Alex's words reached Old Chang, resonating with the older man's heart.

"This brat..." Old Chang muttered, a smile gracing his lips. Observing the fight intensify, he maintained his determination.

Turning his gaze towards Yuan Tian, Old Chang stated, "It seems I must finish my other dream before I end your life, Yuan."

"We will meet again in the future," Old Chang added, before abruptly withdrawing from the battle.

Yuan Tian, still reeling from the grueling fight, acknowledged Old Chang's departure.

"DON'T LEAVE!" Elder Bai protested as he watched Old Chang exit the scene. Frustration boiled within him, exacerbated by his desire to discipline his unruly junior.

"Allow him to leave. He will return, and when he does, we will be prepared," Yuan Tian concluded, his demeanor aged by the battle's toll.

Discharging his energy, Yuan Tian visibly aged. Looking towards his temple, he announced his intention to rest.

"Strengthen the sect's formations, bolster our defenses, and reach out to the Celestial Formation Palace. Request the Absolute Pavilion Master's assistance," Yuan Tian instructed, before retiring to his temple.

"Yes," Elder Bai acknowledged, determination in his eyes as he prepared to safeguard the sect.

--

Far from the commotion, Alex continued on his journey. "With these scrolls, I can read during my return to the Eastern Continent. I have the energy from Old Chang, and I know where he is... I must also locate Chang Li. Why didn't I bring him with me?" Alex lamented, his thoughts swirling as he hastened towards Old Chang's location.

--

After thirty minutes, Alex arrived at his destination. A mountain range stretched before him, and his target was situated on one of its peaks.
