Demonic Apocalypse Coming.

Alex scanned his surroundings, puzzled by the eerie silence that had fallen over the sect. There was no sound at all, not even the rustling of leaves or the faintest whisper of the wind. Even the normal sounds of nature seemed to have vanished.

He glanced back at the building, realizing he needed to return to his own house. If something were to attack, he needed to be there to protect Fengying. He attempted to break through the defensive barriers surrounding the building but found all his efforts in vain.

"I need to get back to my building, in case something happens," Alex muttered to himself. He had an uneasy feeling that something terrible was about to unfold.

As he turned to leave, he spotted a strange creature approaching. Alex's eyes widened as the creature lunged toward him, but before it could strike, it was sliced into pieces.

"Big Brother Li!!!" A familiar voice called out, and Alex turned to see Chang Li running towards him, holding a sword.

"Chang Li???" Alex was taken aback. He was even more surprised by something else: "This thing managed to hide from my senses," he thought to himself. "Just what is this creature?"

"Big Brother Li!!! What's happening? I'm so scared!!!" Chang Li arrived, trembling with fear, as if he hadn't just slain a creature.

"It's okay—" Alex began to reassure him but was interrupted when he noticed the dismembered creature on the ground. It had red skin, long hair, and fangs, resembling something out of a video game.

"What the hell is this thing?" Alex muttered, observing the creature's purple blood splattered across the ground.

"Is this…" Alex began to speak, but he couldn't believe the words forming in his mind. "Demons?"

"Hey, Chang Li, do you mind following me to my bu—"

Suddenly, Alex's eyes widened, and he looked up. An enormous claw was descending rapidly toward them. He instinctively tried to shield Chang Li, but it seemed that the claw was too fast.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

The claw exploded, and a golden dragon descended, protecting them from the debris and shockwave.

"Are you okay, kids?" Old Chang, the master of Chang Li, arrived to check on them.

"Master!!!" Chang Li bowed down in respect.

Alex nodded in acknowledgment and asked, "Thank you for saving us, Grand Elder Chang, but what is happening here?"

"We don't know how, but Demons have escaped from their seal," Old Chang explained, his face marked with a frown. "Look up there." He pointed to an enormous beam of light in the sky. "That is the Demonic Ascension Pillar, and it appears when a Higher Level Demon awakens. Unfortunately, one of them seems to have awakened within our sect."

"You mean... Demons?" Chang Li asked, shaking in fear.

"But, Grand Elder Chang, I heard the seal was located deep within the inner regions of the Western Continent. How did the Demons infiltrate our sect?" Alex asked, trying to make sense of the situation.

"That pillar releases Demonic Miasma that can transform everything into Demons," Old Chang explained. "Fortunately, it knocked out anyone who was affected, as they lacked protection against its properties. It could only transform intelligent beings other than humans if it wished to create Demons."

Alex felt some relief at the explanation, but he couldn't shake off a sense of unease. "What about the disciples? Aren't they vulnerable now?"

"You need not worry. Artificial Demons like the ones created can only attack conscious individuals; they cannot detect those who are unconscious," Old Chang assured them. He then handed Alex a peculiar pill. "However, if you encounter a Demon that you cannot defeat, take this. It will render you unconscious, ensuring your safety. Now, go back to your buildings. The sect's elders will protect us." He said this and flew up.

Alex regarded the pill with a puzzled expression. He knew he was likely stronger than most of the sect's elders, so why would he need such a precaution? He was also confident in Chang Li's abilities. Nevertheless, he nodded and proceeded to lead Chang Li back to their building.

Before they could take another step, a deafening explosion rocked the area.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

A massive pillar of light erupted into the sky, capturing everyone's attention.

"SECT MASTER LIN!!!" Alex exclaimed, looking towards the pillar. Various figures emerged from the light, most of them being unfamiliar elders and grand elders.

"What is this thing?" Alex questioned, staring at the disintegrating pillar with weird eyes.

A luminous figure descended from the pillar.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

The figure generated an even larger shockwave of darkness, shrouding the entire area shadows, it shrouded entire place in dark enviroment, but you could still see everything, it was extremely weird that Alex could not describe it, but it was indeed creepy being here looking around to get out here.

"Shit!" Alex immediately conjured a shield to protect Chang Li and himself from the ominous darkness that now surrounded them.

Chang Li trembled in fear. "This pressure... it's so overwhelming," he muttered as he crouched down.

Alex held Chang Li and hurriedly made his way towards their building. He felt a pressing need to get out of this sect as soon as possible. His plan was to retrieve Fengying and flee to a remote mountain where the Demons wouldn't be able to reach them.

"Go hide, kids!" Old Chang descended in front of them, blocking the demonic hands that formed from the darkness.

Alex nodded and made his way to their building.

Meanwhile, within the sect, the elders and grand elders were in a state of shock.

"This is bad," Grand Elder Feng muttered as his golden hair flowed upward, signifying the intense pressure.

"I recognize this," Elder Bai said with a pale expression. "This is from the legends."

"What is it?!" Elder Bai's agitation grew.

"AWAKENING OF A DEMON ROYALTY!!!" Elder Bai's revelation sent shivers down the spines of all the elders.

"How did this happen? The seal should have held them for hundreds of years. We checked it just a century ago," one elder said, bewildered.

"Grand Elder Bai," Old Chang appeared beside him, "Activate all the foundational arrays. Nothing must leave this sect."

Gasps and murmurs filled the air as the elders realized the gravity of the situation. Many were unhappy about being locked in, and some even expressed their discontent.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

Old Chang unleashed a devastating punch, obliterating those who voiced their objections.

"You cowardly pieces of shit! Escaping won't solve anything," Old Chang berated them. "If we let this thing escape to the outside world, it could spread throughout the entire continent. Our duty is to protect the continent."

As chaos erupted among the elders, Grand Elder Chang ordered, "Activate all the foundational arrays! Prepare for the worst."

With a heavy heart, Grand Elder Feng added, "We don't even know how this happened. We need to be prepared for whatever is coming."

Back in the Western Continent village:

"BANDITS!!!" A desperate voice cried out, signaling the start of a new threat.
