Element.

"Elemental Bloom is a phenomenon that occurs when you approach the Element you have awakened. It happens more frequently with enlightenment and pills specifically designed for awakening your element. One of the easiest ways to achieve this is by forming a connection with your Element, becoming friends, and having fun together. Every Element possesses sentience; they can think for themselves and act independently.

Throughout history, there have been cases where Elements rebelled and fought against their host, often resulting in the host's demise, causing the Element to dissipate into the Spirit World again."

Alex continued reading the simplified description of Elemental Awakening. He was so engrossed in the subject that he momentarily forgot about the manuals Sect Master Lin had given him.

"This is truly fascinating. Elements are like ordinary spirits that gain intelligence by absorbing Elemental Qi from the spirit world. It's like a phantom version of the Cultivation world, overlapping with our own. I want to explore this world," Alex thought. he was always fascinated by other worlds and places that could describe other worlds, As a teenager he was a big fan of space travel movies as all the kids were and longed to go to space one day, and this book was up on his valley of interests, he imagined spirit world as a world that mirrored this one just little different environment and little spirits floating around going about their place, they also searched the way to go and have some powerful cultivator attract them. He knew that for Elements they could not go to a random cultivator that they wanted to be the Element of, they needed to search for the perfect person that would give them what they wanted and have them live in the world... he read this somewhere and felt this would be quite right as the Elements were also living creatures. Alex felt this world was much more mysterious than he previously imagined it was fascinating how everything just came together perfectly and the system was born out of cultivation, it did have its flaws but it was really beautiful either way. He wanted to explore more in the future to see if the Spirit World was real, if he could enter and if could he live there for a while, Alex thought about this as he wanted to go exploring suddenly. he wanted to see this world at its full glory power. he wanted to see its power before he returned to Earth.

"The Spirit World cannot be entered by ordinary humans. The only way to access it is to extract your soul from your body and forcibly merge it with the Spirit World. This is a perilous method with few successful cases. While it's relatively easy to enter, exiting the Spirit World independently is extremely challenging, with most successful exits aided by the spirits themselves," Alex read aloud.

"Spirit world, a dimension within a dimension within a dimension. How intriguing. But how do I awaken my Element?" Alex pondered.

Three hours later...

BOOM!

Alex closed the book, deep in thought. He sprawled on the couch, contemplating.

"Connecting with my Element, huh?" Alex gazed within himself, searching for any signs of his Element's presence.

However, there was no discernible energy associated with his Element.

"Where are you, little one? Reveal yourself," Alex concentrated intensely, delving deeper and deeper into his being, nearing his soul.

In the darkness, he found himself in his soul, now aflame with azure flames, liberated from its shackles.

"What the hell is that." He went closer to the flame, this would not burn him as it was like a hologram to him, Alex wasn't able to do something with his soul, there were some kind of techniques that could plunk your soul out forcibly but you could not do it.

"This is beautiful," Alex marveled at his nearly pure soul. "But what's that?" He approached a holographic purple spot within his soul.

Touching it...

BOOM!

Everything went dark again, and he found himself in a familiar place.

"JACK GET THE FLANK!!!"

"AAGHHGHHG ITS THE BURNOUT!!!"

"SHIT SHELL CAME"

Alex's eyes turned cold.

Thirty minutes later, he returned to his soul's realm and sighed.

"I understand now," he muttered, surveying the dark place with lights emanating from the techniques he had learned.

"Well, I'll search deeper," Alex decided, concentrating. This time, he remained within the confines of his soul.

He entered a point of view within the realm.

BZZZSSSSTTTTT!

Everything rapidly converged toward him, and then...

BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Alex found himself in a white space.

"So, this is the place," he mused, recognizing it from one of Sect Master Lin's books. "The Boundary, the boundary of life."

A brownish cloud floated nearby.

"There you are, little one," Alex approached the cloud. "Why were you hiding here?"

'Boo?' The cloud moved and emitted a sound.

When it looked up as if something had happened, it became extremely joyful.

'Booo!!! Booo!!! Booo!!!' It danced around Alex like a playful spirit.

"Hahaha, alright, you're good," Alex chuckled, caressing the cloud. "Now, tell me, why were you hiding here?"

"Why did you choose this peculiar place?" he wondered.

"This is really... fucking weird, what is even this." Just now he realized everything looked like it was an extremely white computer screen. it was like someone took a computer screen turned the white screen and put it here, he was really confused and conflicted about this, this place felt weird, he didn't know what this feeling was but it felt like he was in some kind of white videogame, Alex didn't like this, he was getting the same feeling from the moon that he looked up in the sky in the past... they were pretty much the same, creepy feeling that he could not explain at all... Alex was not a fan of this feeling and put a mental note to investigate just what was this place that he found out now, he wanted to know.

Pixel-like shapes filled his vision.

'Booo...' the cloud responded, touching Alex's head lightly.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

"What the..." Alex began to say as everything went dark.

End of Chapter.
