Parrot.

Celestial Heaven Sect. Alex was reviewing some scrolls given to him by Old Chang, discovering the whereabouts of the Sect he sought. A serene smile graced his face as he left the room.

"Hm?" As he prepared to depart, a peculiar sight caught his attention on the floor. Alex descended gracefully, his curiosity piqued.

"What in the heavens?" Alex discovered an infant-like creature, entirely devoid of fur, scales, or feathers, resembling a freshly shorn parrot.

"Why would Grand Elder Chang house such a creature?" Alex gently cradled the bird in his hand.

'BBRRRRR!!!' From his slumber, Botoz awoke with a canine-like groan in response to the parrot's presence.

The parrot wriggled in his grasp, nuzzling against Alex's robes as if seeking solace. However, Botoz seemed apprehensive.

"Fear not, Botoz. I mean no harm—" Alex began to reassure his celestial companion, only to notice the rage brewing within the tiny cloud. Curiously, Botoz's form displayed heightened contrast when angered.

"Why do you harbor such resentment, little parrot?" Alex gently returned Botoz to his pouch and focused his attention on the enigmatic creature.

"Let me contact Grand Elder Chang," Alex decided, preparing to invoke a communication talisman, but then...

'Krrr...' A strange noise emanated from the parrot, causing it to visibly tremble.

"Very well, I shall not entertain the notion that Grand Elder Chang mistreats creatures. I shall assume you have an aversion to humans," Alex mused before departing.

Alex left the parrot on the ground, providing it with some fruits and a comfortable nest, unwilling to disrupt what might be Old Chang's cherished pet.

--

A few Seconds Later.

Old Chang Returned to his home just as Alex took off from his house.

"You are still here?" He looked at the Parrot and furrowed his browns when looking at the food and the pillow.

He then looked at his table to see a writing of Alex.

"Hello Grand Elder Chang, i came here to your house to take information about one sect i wanted to hear about," Alex said.

Old Chang smiled and put the paper out.

"What do you want." He looked at the parrot but this wasn't the eyes of a owner looking at his pet.

"Cha---" The Parrot didn't move but its eyes turned red and the voice came out.

"Do not call me that Chicken." Old Chang looked at the parrot and his eyes turned golden.

In the mention of a chicken Parrot visibly looked angered but it couldn't do anything.

"I have been forced to ascend to a higher dimension Huanglong... I could not keep my body down for too long, i want you to ta---" Before the being in the parrot was finished talking Old Chang released his Aura.

"You dare to say that to me? HAHAHAHAHA, Looks like great Pheonix  Hong Feng has fallen this low. what about you ask your retainers." Old Chang took off his coat and exposed his body.

"My retainers hav---" Hong Feng stopped talking instantly.

Then he clicked on his skin and.

"Agh..." Old Chang squirmed as an enormous burn mark appeared on his body.

"It's funny how life goes right? One day you injure me to an extent i could bearly move, then you are hunting mbe down, and then you are asking for my help." Old Chang pointed at his injury.

"THAT WAS BEC---" Hong Feng got interrupted once again making her more angry than anything in a few seconds.

"This was because i didn't choose you back then and i went with a being more powerful than you, you almost killed me because i chose a Golden Dragon than a Pheonix like you, you are in the wrong here Hong Feng, i will not blame your kid and let it live but i will not help either." Old Chang put his clothes back as well and the injury disappeared.

"I see..." The voice stopped and red light engulfed the parrot that took it in the skies.

"So why are you following me?" Alex looked back to see Fengying following him to the sect he was going to. He didn't want anyone following him as it would compromise his plan but Fengying just decided to come along as he said he was going out, he went to his building to take a sword he wanted to test a lot and she saw him leave, Alex first didn't want her following but as he remembered he never let her go out of the sect for some reason, he would not decline it if Fengying asked but she never asked and he never thought she needed to go out, but now it wasn't the exact best time to ask this, But Alex could not decline it at all, He sighed at the thought that he would have to protect someone as well as fight in probably a big battle to borrow the Planeterium, this would not be good for his fighting powers, and he would have to plan for once, This made Alex mad but when he saw puppy eyes Fengying was looking at him when she asked if she could follow Alex could not decline, Alex could not decline the request so he let her follow and even now he was thinking how not to die when he got to the sect, Alex didn't know what was he going to fight after all.

"Teacher, I've been confined within your abode for far too long. I yearn for experience and the opportunity to test my newfound skills," Fengying explained. "I must venture outside and gauge my mastery of the abilities you've taught me."

"I see," Alex sighed, unable to refuse her earnest request. "Stay close, Fengying. Something unusual is afoot."

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

They hastened their journey, Alex maintaining a vigilant watch.

"Hm?" Alex observed an eerie distortion in the surroundings, an unsettling silence hanging in the air.

Paranoia gripped Alex, and he cautioned, "Stay close behind me, Fengying. There's something amiss here." Yet, Fengying remained silent.

"Fengy—" Alex turned to look but understood immediately.

"Ah... This..." He lost consciousness, seeing Fengying suspended in mid-air, sound asleep.

The atmosphere is distorted.

"Curse it all..." Alex managed to conceal his pouch within the Space Element Essence before succumbing to unconsciousness.

"Damn..."
