Finally Doing The Tasks Again.

"What?" Chang Li stood up, his expression one of disbelief.

"How is that posssible Teacher." Fengying of course was in absolute flabbergasted... she knew what it meant to ascend, to ascend you needed supreme power, something that even the strongest people on the planet was searching for, something like that could not be found for a very long time and now even the people that lived for a long time was searching for it.

"I can sense it. I've gathered significant energy during the Overlord Ascension," Alex explained, fabricating a reason. "But you three can relax."

Before further inquiry, Hong Xuanli appeared, startling Chang Li and Fengying.

"Brat..." Hong Xuanli materialized behind them.

"AGH!" Both Chang Li and Fengying jumped, ready for combat.

"You do know nobody likes peeping toms?" Alex asked cheekily, he was really suprised too see him here, first it was because the man he knew before didn't have Invisibility ability, next because he looked like.

"Damn," Hong Xuanli muttered, now sporting a sage-like appearance.

"Are you sure you want to ascend now, Big Brother Li?" he questioned, a genuine sadness in his eyes.

"I am goint to ascend but not now, i can't leave apocalyptic monsters that can probably destroy entire world and ascend without any special defences." Alex said this and like someone threw something in the all of them light up in happiness.

"REALLY?" Chang Li asked.

"I thought you were ascending already." Fengying said this.

"I really thought that you did" Hong Xuanli wiped his sweat.

Alex looked at them in shock and shook his head.

He smiled but was also said, he remembered his friends... how they had this talks every time he needed to go somewhere... he really missed them.

"Alright, from today on i will train all of you myself... every day, every week, every year, when i am about to Ascend you guys will be as strong as me." Alex posed and showed off his muscles making everyone roll their eyes.

"Man that was a long talk, i really need to go do my things." Alex was looking out in the sky.

He was right now infront of Sect Master's Building, he was about to notify Sect Master Lin he was going to go out from the Sect, Sect Master Lin would need to give him a permission.

"So you are going out to train?" Sect Master Lin's mouth twitched when he heard this.

"Ouch, Ouch, Ouch, what are you doing Sect Master Lin, not cool." Alex squirmed in pain when his ear was pulled by Sect Master Lin.

"You punk, don't you know Overlords get stronger by absorbing energy from the Sky?" Sect Master Lin said this.

"Isn't that how every Realm gets stronger?" Alex raised his eyebrow.

"No, Overlords basically fused their techniques all of it... when you absorb energy they get strong as well. Don't tell me you didn't even know that?" Sect Master Lin raised his fist. He could not believe Alex actually did not read the books he gave him, everything he was talking about was in the books, Overlords fused their Souls and the energy managed to seep into their souls, it nurished them and the excess energy went towards the Techniques, Every technique that Overlord used was strengthened by Energy they absorbed, in the past Realms most of the energy went towards the Realm itself, it was Like your realm was asking for energy and you could not say no, but now the energy went towards the techniques, that is the big advantage the Overlords had against normal people, they used full potential of their Energy and it was not wasted on their bodies, this was actually something every Overlord learned when they tried to ascend first time, every Overlord learned this in their sects or wherever they came from, this was somwthing every Overlord knew, even the Lucky ones that didn't go to any Sect and managed to reach the Level of Overlord could be asked this, basically everyone knew, Of course Alex didn't have a single ounc of idea what this was, he never did anything to his realm after leveling up, he straight up got stronger sonetimes even many levels at once, System was a big cheat that let him dp this, So he never really learned anything like this before, so he could bearly imagine what Sect Master Lin Was talking About.

Alex swallowed hard and smiled "Yes, Yes of course, thank you for reminding me off that Master, i will go sit in one place for 1000 years... HM OR NOT!!!" Alex immediately flew off from the Sect after going to the Door.

"YOU!!!" Sect Master's Roarwas revebrated around the entire Sect.

"This is it... the journey is going to start," Alex snapped his fingers, revealing a blue paper with various writings on it.

It was labeled "Alex's Job List." Alex spat on his hand, swiping it across the first task – escaping from Sect Master Lin.

"Let's go... visit the... ah, forget it. Botoz, what was the name of that Sect?" Alex scratched his head.

"How would I know that, Master?" Botoz appeared, sitting on Alex's shoulder.

"Whatever, I remember the way." Alex flew towards a Sect that would soon experience turmoil.

"Sect Master Yuan," Old Man Lao Chen approached Yuan Tian, who lay on a hammock.

"I am all ears, Lao Chen," Yuan Tian smiled as he listened to cultivators playing a peculiar guqin.

"I was wondering how you managed to gain enlightenment?" Lao Chen inquired.

"Let me tell you a story about a fairy," Yuan Tian stood up, stepping on sakura leaves as if floating.

About to begin, he was suddenly punched.

"BGGGHHGGHH," he groaned, crashing back into his destroyed house.

"FUCKER!!! What was that?" Alex emerged from the rubble.

"You got attacked by a Peak Overlord Azure Eastern Dragon Master," Botoz informed.

"How is that possible? You don't encounter dragons easily..." Alex surveyed the surroundings.

"WHO IN THE HEAVENS ARE YOU!!!" a voice echoed.
