Unusual Surprise

Kimberly took his arm, and together they walked out of the house together, and Nicholas held out the car door for her to get in.

The drive to the restaurant was silent in a way that made Kimberly feel awkward, and after five minutes she sighed, "Next time, I will prefer you don't pick me," she said, and Nicholas turned to spare her a glance.

"Why not?"

"We aren't talking. The drive is awkward. I don't like being in awkward situations," she said honestly and Nicholas chuckled.

"Let's talk then. Shall we?" he asked and she raised a brow.

"About what? Don't ask me any personal questions."

"What do you consider personal questions?" Nicholas asked, just wanting to keep her talking since he found her amusing.

"Questions about my family, my relationships, and stuff like that," she said easily.

"I should know about yours since your know about mine…"
