All Three Together?

Xu Zeng felt a twinge—a teeny tiny bit— of confusion at the news that there were no available rooms in the entire town. An entire town?

It seemed improbable, yet his weariness overshadowed any further interest in the matter. They just needed somewhere to lay their heads, that was easy enough.

"How many rooms do we need?" His inquiry slipped out almost automatically, though he felt incredulous even as drowsiness simmered over him and his senses seemed far away.

Three fingers raised by the fox beside him prompted a raise of Xu Zeng's brows. 'Three rooms?' He thought. 'Why would they need three separate rooms?'

The notion seemed excessive to him. He didn't even get a room growing up— well, that wasn't completely true.

He recalled his humble upbringing, where even a corner in the pig house had been enough after his dad's passing.
