Love in the Air

Xu Feng stood still for a moment, watching as Min and the children disappeared down the path he'd just come from. The laughter of the two children was trailing softly behind them. But his gaze didn't linger on Min's retreating figure.

Instead, his eyes kept drifting—again and again—toward the familiar snow-dusted path leading back to Budding Courtyard.

His steps wavered.

It wasn't hesitation. Not quite.

He had already eaten breakfast—albeit a later one—but the day was still young. Logically, he knew where they were, what they were doing. Studying.

Not just likely—he was 99.9 percent sure of it.

Pacing once, then twice, he exhaled, shifting his weight like a restless cat before turning on his heel to take another step forward. Just as he was about to start his third lap of indecision, a pair of approaching figures emerged at the crossroads.
