Elara in danger

He opened his eyes, smelling a mouth-watering aroma. Looking ahead, he saw Ember frying meat over a born fire. He pressed his hands as support, then stood up from the spot.

Looking down, he saw he was sleeping on a thick blanket made by some beast. A smile appeared on his face, thinking that she didn't make him sleep on the cold ground.

But then his brows furrowed in doubt. Why did she bite him on the neck? When he touched the bitten part on his neck, he was surprised to find that there were no marks.

When he tried to move his legs, he felt his legs become strong. Something unknown to him was flowing through his body, which surprised him even more.

A new hot sensation flowed through his veins, making him relaxed. When he looked inside his body, his eyes widened in surprise. "What is this?"

Hearing his voice, Ember looked back. She didn't wear any blindfolds now. Her eyes were shining in the moonlight. Seeing that he had awakened, a smile crept onto her face.

"You are awake," her soft voice sounded in his ear. But he was not in the mood to enjoy that voice.

"Ember, why did the Chaos sword change its color?" he asked in a hurry.

Now, in his heart, his crystal-colored chaos sword had turned red like fire. The reason for his rebirth in this world is this sword. So any problems with it affect him greatly.

Seeing his anxious expression, Ember was stunned at first. Then, upon hearing his doubt, she laughed loudly. "Little chaos," she called out.

Hearing her voice, the sword in his heart rushed out from his body. It shone with a red color. When he looked closely, he could see the dark red flame in his chaos sword.

"Look, nothing happened to it. You just bonded with me, awakening the fire attribute in it," she said with a chuckle. Asher breathed a sigh of relief.

When the chaos sword rushed out from his body upon hearing her call, he understood that it hadn't changed. "You are still a pervert sword," he muttered annoyingly, but a smile appeared on his face.

Then, looking at Ember, he asked in a serious voice, "You told me we are now bonded." Touching the part of his neck bitten by her, he continued, "Why should we do that?"

Ember took a deep breath. She knew that he was not easy to fool. "Because I am your sword spirit. The true meaning of my existence is to become your sword slave, giving you the endless power of fire."

Asher was shocked by her words. Then his eyes turned ice-cold. "Why did you do that before asking me?"

She was shocked by his mood change, but she just lowered her head. Looking at her, he held back his anger.

"Ember, you must remember no one was born as a slave. What I need was you with your original emotions, and motives, not someone as a slave," his words made her stunned. She raised her head and looked into his eyes.

She could feel the seriousness in his eyes. When she first understood that she was just a sword slave to him, she was also a little conflicted in her mind.

But she knew that being a sword slave was the only meaning of her existence. Now, hearing his words, her heart felt a little warm. "Okay," she just muttered that word.

Asher also felt her change. When he saw that she had lowered her head in submission, he felt anger burning in his heart. What he had hoped to see from her was not the submission of a slave but the ambition of a partner.

Looking around, he didn't see Elara. "Where is Elara?" he asked in doubt. He was not particularly worried about her. Being a dragon, she could deal with almost all creatures in this portal.

"She went to hunt," Ember said, picking up fully cooked meat. Putting it on a plate, she gave it to him.

He sniffed the smell, then his eyes lit up. Picking a piece of meat, he stuffed it into his mouth. "Wow, it's so tasty. Ember, you are so good."

The taste of the meat was so good that he felt it was better than his mother's.

Hearing his praise, Ember smiled in satisfaction. This was the first time she had prepared food other than for her father.

She was happy to hear that he liked her cooking. "Don't eat too fast. We still have plenty left," seeing that he was eating without pausing, she spoke with a smile.

But a foodie like him never heard her voice. In his previous life, one thing he never got bored of was food. As time passed, he ate almost every type of food in the world.

But the food prepared by Ember was a thousand times better than all of these foods he had tasted. Within minutes, he had eaten all the food she had prepared.

Looking at the empty bowl, he blushed a little. He hadn't imagined that he would lose his composure in front of her.

"Ahem…" He tried to hide his embarrassment.

Ember just smiled at his actions. She liked seeing him like this. "Don't worry; when Elara returns, I will make you more," she said with a chuckle. "Hehe," he just rubbed his hair.

Suddenly, they heard a loud dragon roar coming from the front. Asher felt Elara's pain from that roar.

His heart quickened, "No, something happened to Elara," he said while running in the direction of the dragon's roar.

At this time, Elara was in pain. She had been attracted by a pleasant smell. When she followed the smell and reached the area, she saw a red fruit.

Thinking that it was some kind of treasure, she tried to pick it up for her master. But when she touched the fruit, she was attacked by its vine.

She tried hard to free herself from the vine, but the more she struggled, the tighter the vine around her became. She felt her body being consumed by that vine.

If she still had her previous strength, she would have easily killed this vine. But after the soul contract with Asher, her strength also plummeted to the spirit awakening stage.

When Asher and Ember reached the area, what greeted them was this scene. Elara was tied by a vine, and blood was dripping from her body. Seeing this sight, his breath became extremely cold.

A horrifying killing intent spread from his body to the surroundings. "Chaos, someone tried to harm my family. ," With his voice, a blood-red sword emitting fire appeared behind him.

When that sword appeared, the area around him started to melt.

"Let me add," Ember spoke, her hair turning red. Her body became blurred as she spoke and fused into the chaos sword.
