The curse of eye

Asher stared at the arrogant soldier with a calm expression, surprise and doubt brewing within him.

"How does this relate to hunger?" he inquired, his face giving away none of his inner thoughts. He knew that revealing his anxiety could provoke the soldier to act faster, so he readied himself for a confrontation.

The soldier chuckled maniacally, his emaciated appearance making Asher feel queasy.

Suddenly, a strange word flashed before Asher's eyes: [Sither, awakened undead bloodline].

'That's the key,' Asher thought, taken aback.

'But what does he mean by 'never die by hunger'?'

Almost as if reading his mind, the arrogant soldier grinned.

"Beasts won't hunger for me, for I'm already a corpse."

'Aha, that explains it,' Asher's confusion dissipated.

Now everything made sense. This soldier shared a trait akin to his own [Breathless] ability, but the undead bloodline had turned him into a skeletal figure.
