“Come and say hi,” I told Cage who had just woken up and was standing at the door of Rosalie’s room.

Hesitantly he dragged himself to where I was, he took a minute frozen in place just staring at his mother who was lying on the bed, she had fewer tubes connected to her body after the surgery, and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead before taking a seat beside me on the small couch.

“Meet your little sister,” I showed her to him. "Adira Kella Kingston."

“She’s so small.” He gushed. “And has mummy’s small nose.”

He touched her nose and she moved her little arms and head aggressively making me laugh.

“I’m guessing she doesn’t like that,” I told him.

“Mummy doesn’t like it either but I do it anyway.” He shrugged and did it again.

I shook my head at him and chuckled.
