chapter two: desertion of soldiers

Luna: " Any observers, at least? " now I'm really getting angry.

Luna: " * Shouts* Your like virgins believing in the love of a whore!" In my anger I shouted.

We are back in my study with Joven after I recounted my experience with the cabinet.

Luna( MC): " This has to be a concerned effort, Joven. Everyone who came before us gave their lives for Freedom.

Tell our countrymen that Freedom cannot be won by protecting their loved ones. They have to pay the price."

Joven: " What is the price? " Joven questioned me.

Luna: " Blood and sweat. They have to be ready to jump into the abyss."

After my anger left me i realize my mistake of rising my voice infront of the President.

Luna( the original): " Mister President,I apologize for my outburst." I apologise.

Prime minister Apolinario: " Everyone's suspicions are well-founded. I say it is best to be patient and wait but it would also be wise if General Luna were to strengthen our military forces. Gentlemen, let us pray for the best but prepare for the worst."

As we were continuing our discussion, we were suddenly interupted as a soldier came into the cabinet office.

Random soldier: *salutes the President and hands him the letter*

President Emilio: " Gentlemen... the Americans fired on our troops in Sta. Mesa." said the President in a grave tone.

ThenPresident Emilio hands the letter to prime minister Apolinario Mabini.

Minister Apolinario: " They have also taken the surrounding provinces of San Juan. Paco, Pandacan and other towns. And they're holding negotiations with the Spaniards in Intramuros." Apolinario said as two men entered the cabinet office.

President Emilio: " Buencamino! Arguelles! tell me what happened?' questioned the President.

minister Buencamino: " Manila has fallen.The city is in American hands."

he's answer was met with silence from the crowd of ministers and generals.

President Emilio: " General Luna... It's up to you now. This war is in your hands." The President said to me in a grave tone.

Luna: " What do you want me to do? Bite them? Fight with patriots like these? Vamos !" I said to my fellow military men.

As we were leaving I could hear them saying things like:

Random minister(1): " Buencamino, how did this happen?"

Random minister (2): " What can we do? "

Random minister (3): " If only we talked to them sooner "

As we were walking out I suddenly stopped them infront of a saints statue.

Luna: " Gentlemen, to fight for our country is the greatest honor. We should not hesitate. Forward compatriots. To conquer or die."

Back at the study of Antonio Luna ( now our MC)

'To conquer or die huh... such a cool saying I wish they write about me saying that in the future.' I thought.

suddenly I remember one of the many battles against the Americans the original owner of this body had.

*gun shots everywhere*

I was standing there at the Battlefield looking at the Americans shooting at us and my men dying.

Suddenly I string into action and directing my men.

Luna: " Aim properly! Don't waste your bullets.

No retreat! Fire! " I ordered as I too fired my officer revolver.

As we were firing at them one of my Coronel, Francisco "Paco" Roman. came to my side

Coronel Francisco: " General! The left flank is in danger!" he said to me. I waved to one of my messengers to come to me.

Messenger: " * salutes * General"

Luna: " Send a message to the Kawit Brigade.

Tell Captain Janolino to reinforce the left flank. The enemy must not break through. "

Messenger: " At once sir " he said as he runs to fetch he's horse.

meanwhile I continued to motivate my men.

Luna: " Dont be afraid! Fire together.Don't despair, men! "

"General, that would be easier if there were more of us alive." said to me by one of my captains, Eduardo Rusca.

" The Kawit troops are on their way " I replied to him.

He laughed at me and said " That'll be the day. " as he knows that the general of the Kawit brigade is General Mascardo, one of my rivals.

Suddenly some of the men around us starts deserting from their post.

"Hey! Where are you going? Get back here, you cowards! Hey! " I yelled at them.

" Hey! The women here have bigger balls than you! Get back here! " Captain Rusca commented on the side.

" Get back here you bunch of pussycats " said one of the woman soldiers.

Suddenly I see someone I'm familiar with.

" You? Aren't you one of minister Buencamino's son? " I questioned the deserting soldier as I held him tightly on the shoulder.

Don't mind this but did you know that Avocados are a fruit, not a vegetable? They're technically considered a single-seeded berry, believe it or not. Hahahahah ( don't mind me just for the word count) lol
