CHAPTER FOUR : THE CONJUCTION

Astrid walked down the lawn of her house admiring the poison ivy and roses that gripped sharply to the ground. Staring into the clouds, watching the ravens fly across. As she gazed, she saw a hawk clutching a snake in its talons and flying higher into the sky.

She ascended the stairs to her room, taking pleasure in the note left by Abaddon a few months prior. She skimmed through her library and found a book on Ancient Paranormal. Scrolling through the pages, her stare fixated on the writings.

Several hours passed, and it soon became dark. She lit the candles beside her bedside table, preparing to take her usual walks. She took careful steps towards a window to have a quick glance at the moon. It was brighter this time, reflecting directly into her room. She hadn't stood much before she felt a sudden sharp pain in her abdomen. With each minute, it grew unbearable as her belly grew bigger and bigger.

Feeling like her abdominal walls were being ripped apart layer by layer, fear griping onto her chest. Astrid screamed loudly, holding onto her now protruded stomach. The earth quaked loudly as the thunders cried out in a loud wail. The lamp stand shattered on the into pieces on the bare floor as the weather grew angry.

Astrid couldn't bear the pain much longer, her veins pulling tightly enough to see through beneath the skin. She screamed in pain. What was growing inside of her was ripping her apart. Her human body wasn't strong enough to contain the unholy one inside of her. She was panting hard, taking as much deep breaths as she could .

She had no idea she was carrying the prophecy of the unholy sunset in her womb. Birthed from the seed of a loved demon. In one day, the seed had grown beyond what her human flesh could withhold. The pain was like a burning fire consuming her. She knew she was dying and couldn't have the child on her own. Flames surrounded the room in anticipation of the unholy being.

Deep in the forest, there was loud wailing as the quiet ones awaken, spreading the message of the unholy sun to set on the earth. Abaddon sat on his throne as the demons roared in accord.

He appeared on earth to see Astrid bathed in blood and unconscious on the floor of her bedroom. Her body couldn't take the torture much longer. He lifted her up in his arms and took her to hell. Her moral body couldn't stand the suffocation and fire as they entered the gates of his throne. Her moral flesh withered away and her soul set to live in the underworld forever.

The birth of the unholy one brought loud cheer to their world.. The prophecy of the unholy sun had come to existence and Astrid's life was the price paid. Her soul belonged to the one she loved, but she could never return to the mortal realm. She held her daughter in her hands, staring into her innocent eyes, and smiled. The love of a human and demon birthed a conjunction; the unholy sunset that would rise in the east.

Her eyes were bright as her mother's, her hair dark and flowing. She had the aura of her father as she stared. Lilith was beautiful in all ramifications, a perfect replica of her parents. Abaddon raised her in front of his fellow demons as a sign of her royalty, the future queen of Hades. An ecstatic uproar for the rising sun echoed, for she was a sign of what is and to come. Lilith was of human and demon blood, a perfect blend of good and evil. A recipe for burning flames.

In a matter of years, she had grown to be just like her father; his cruelty resided in her and so did her mother's flawless beauty. Her radiance could be compared to that of the goddess Persephone. Lilith knew how to make a statement just like her father, a desire to seize what she possessed.

Into her youth years she was fierce, respected by all that came, and when the time came for her betrothal, she was furious as her father's choice; a high demon amongst his rule to strengthen her force. His name was Teivel, a prince of hell's province who was fierce, just like her. She hated the idea of being forced into an alliance. "I won't be betrothed to Teivel father! I will choose whom I desire... when the time is right!." she confronted.

Abaddon raged in fury," there is no questioning on this Lilith! I demand you to!.". Lilith clenched her fist, staring boldly into her father's eyes,"why can't I find love just like you and mother did??"

Her bold worlds held him captive as he knew she wanted to leave the underworld. 'well... that was different!.. an unexpected occurrence..." he said, walking away. Lilith blurted out in anger, "No! I will find my path, make my own choices." She stormed out.

Abandon knew she didn't want to get married, she didn't care less and would see to her to demands being fulfilled, so he struck a deal.

"You have 365 days to roam around the earth, do what you want, seize its pleasures and explore the world. But after the days are complete, you will come back to the underworld and marry Tevel! That's final," he declared and left."

Lilith, pleased with the deal, made no further argument, but she was hell bent on not forging an alliance. She wanted to rule on her own terms and nothing less. She walked into her mother's bed chambers to hold a conversation with her. Seeing the scornful look on Lilith's face concerning her father's ordeal, Astrid smiled, holding her daughter's hands in hers. "you would make a perfect queen. Always remember my words.. Only within you will you find peace. You are a fierce woman.. Size your moment Lilith".

She handed her a baphomet medallion forged in the flames of hell." I will be with you in your heart... always". Lilith took the necklace and hugged her mother. She was leaving where she'd known as home for such a long time, Hell. The throne of her very existence.

She exhaled, thinking of what to do with her short time in this lonely world filled with feeble humans. She was part human, but nothing like them; infused with demonic power and authority. It was time to leave and deep down she felt ready to experience a different life in the city of Angels.
