The purpose of Black Serpent King

At this moment, a million Awakened individuals from the south rushed over at incredible speed, faster than the low-tier mutant beasts. They were much closer to the river and could arrive first for support.

The millions of civilians near the river continued their orderly evacuation, gradually reaching the opposite bank of the river. Human Awakened individuals were there to receive them, and they executed the entire rescue operation without the use of any aerial transport vehicles.

When the million Awakened individuals met the pursuing mutant beast horde, both sides engaged in combat instantly. Surprisingly, the mutant beasts didn't seem interested in attacking the ordinary people; instead, they tangled with the Awakened individuals.
