Distortion-1(Rewritten)

Harry was currently discussing his new script with Williamson, a script writer who had worked in several low budget indie films.

After thinking about it for sometime, Harry decided to change some things. The concept of infinite time loop will be the same. But it would not be a man catching the murderer.

That time of film may be liked by the critics and the old men but the general audience would get confused and even frustrated by such a complicated story.

The inner capitalist in Harry wanted his first film to be a profitable venture. So he decided to increase the budget and add more commercial elements in it.

Jack is an ordinary guy who is an social outcast. He is currently going on a road trip through the mountains to a beach. On the way he meets a single mother and her child who are also headed in the same direction as him. They decide to stop by the gas station on a cliff for refuelling.

The notice that the ground was shaking a bit and dismiss it as a small earthquake. A little further up the mountain, construction is going on. When the earthquake hits, it causes the crane to drop it's construction load on the dynamite below which causes a large explosion. This explosion causes a large landslide which crushes the gas station below.

Thinking that he was killed, Rick finds himself back on the same vehicle and on the same road. He notices that the signs are all similar to the previous one. No matter how many times he tries,he still gets crushed due to the landslide. Can he warn everyone about the landslide and escape the time loop?

Yes, the film maybe similar to Final Destination but it is only till the first accident scene. The rest are all different. There is no 'you can't escape death' here. And the story is repetitive until Rick can find a way to break free of the loop.

Poor Williamson. Originally he thought that he just had to polish an already written script but now, he is basically making a new one from scratch.

Williamson: It will take atleast two-three weeks to make the complete script.

Harry: Can't you do it faster?

Williamson: Sir this is not a script of one of your TV episodes. This is a movie script. It is will require time.

Harry: Fine. Just contact me or Carl once it is done.

Williamson nodded and left the office.

Harry leaned back on his chair while looking up at the ceiling. He is getting so close to his first original film. And it's definitely not plagiarized.

But what else can he do now? Carl is sealing the deal for a new house in Beverly Hills, Emily is slowly adapting into the role of CEO of FunTime TV, Marsh is managing his European Theatre business, and Wayne, his accountant is handling his stocks.

He really has nothing to do now except just sit and wait for the script to be finished. He can't really do much without a script.

Aha!

Look for something that will be very profitable in the future and get your hands on it early.

But the year is 1999 so Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Pirates of Carribean, all are already taken or in production.

Twilight? No, that's too early.

Superheroes? Yes!

Feeling active, he went to work. Search the internet for Marvel and DC.

Spider Man is currently in casting stage, X-Men is out the question. Wait.

What in the Holy Ghost is going on?

Why does Warner Brothers have X-Men? Why is DC currently struggling with its major IPs gone?

Did him being here do this?
