A way out

Ilnia walked alongside me as she showed me the castle.

It was all beautiful even more beautiful than the first castle.

There were servants going up and down doing their chores, gardeners taking care of the plants, guards stationed at doors.

I took in the sight.

Nocturna was nothing like I had been made to believe.

I noticed Ilnia kept on staring at me.

I tried to ignore it for a while, but then eventually I turned to her.

"Okay, why are you looking at me like that?" I asked her.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to stare it's just that meeting a Fae. It's hard to believe. Especially being that you are here in our kingdom." She expressed and she gave a thin laugh. "You know that your people are our mortal enemies don't you?"

I bit my lip. "So I've been told. Although I don't understand. I expected the humans would be much more enemies to the vampires. Giving they have blood."
