Escape

Desi tried to stop me, but I pulled my dagger from thigh and pointed it at her.

"I don't want to hurt you." I warned her.

Then I backtracked towards the door and took out the key and quickly shut it before locking her in.

As soon as I stepped out of the door, Ilnia was waiting for me.

The guards who had been standing guard were on the floor.

"We don't have much time." She said. "Come with me."

I followed her while looking behind at the vampire guards who were on the floor and lifeless.

"They would be fine." She said. "I didn't kill them."

I followed her ahead. "It's getting dark. Alucard will be on his way back soon enough."

"He said he went to the border." I informed.

"Yes your people have left the remainder of the plague to manifest us down here." She told me as she led the way.

"That's not true!" I snapped. "My brothers fought the wars with the creatures. Why would our own people set us up?"
