Zach stepped out of the caravan, summoning the card, and using his index and middle fingers, he aimed directly at an open space, sending it flying.
As the summoning card traveled ten meters, it suddenly froze in midair, splitting open to reveal a massive vortex gate, or perhaps a space crack—its shape irregular and sprawling.
The gate was so large that Zach had to crane his neck to fully take it in.
At that moment, Zach realized he had severely underestimated the power of random equipment enhancement.
What he thought would be a simple mob encounter turned into something far more significant as three massive wolf heads emerged from the vortex.
Boom!
The moment their claws touched the ground, a powerful shockwave reverberated through the earth beneath Zach's feet.
Zach readily admitted he was wrong.
The three wolfhounds were so immense that, in terms of size, they could almost rival the Red and White Emperors once they were transformed into dragons!
While they didn't possess many special skills, their sheer size, durability, and terrifying bite force were more than enough to make them formidable. Together, the three heads were capable of easily shredding almost anything.
Without hesitation, Zach summoned the five-headed dragon, closing the vortex gate after confirming that the three wolfhounds wouldn't escape.
The five dragon heads surged out, quickly tearing the three wolfhounds apart into smaller and smaller pieces, exposing the exposed bones and flesh.
The wolfhounds didn't resist. Loyalty was ingrained in their very genes. Even if Zach had decided to end their lives, they would have willingly accepted their fate.
Zach couldn't help but reflect on how kind the Creator God seemed, ensuring that no one would betray him in crucial moments.
But that was only if someone else's blade could move faster than his—something he hadn't encountered yet.
Since the three wolfhounds were his summoned beasts, no system reward appeared after their demise, and they weren't included in the trigger conditions.
Fortunately, Zach hadn't expected this.
[Extracting...]
[Extraction successful! Congratulations to the host for obtaining strength attribute +100, defense attribute +100, and speed attribute +80!]
It was unfortunate that no skills were acquired, but the attributes were still valuable.
[Calling...]
[Successful summoning! Congratulations to the host for getting three wolf dogs!]
On the ground before him, the door to the shadow world opened.
As the five-headed dragon sank into it, three undead wolf dogs emerged.
Their presence immediately increased the level of intimidation.
The fur on their heads and bodies burned with faint flames, fluttering in the breeze.
The experiment was a success, and Zach couldn't be more pleased.
Noticing the car, Miria's gaze met his briefly.
Zach turned to look at her, and she quickly turned away, avoiding eye contact.
Once inside the car, Zach could tell what she was thinking and reassured her: "Relax, I won't kill you. At least, not for now."
"Thank you, master." Her smile seemed forced.
Miria probably wished that Zach had omitted the latter part of his sentence, but if he truly intended to make her an undead, she would obey without complaint.
She had learned that everything, absolutely everything, must be followed.
Zach sat back on the couch, opened the system backpack, and found the daily transformation card.
The interface was simple, with three box spaces. A plus sign separated the first and second spaces, while an equal sign separated the second and third.
The first space was for adding the retrofit object, and the second for fusion resources.
Zach scanned around and spotted a number of death scythes he had collected from the Sickle Rat.
"I wonder if this will work," Zach thought, deciding to give it a try. After all, he had a daily opportunity.
Only one item could be added.
[Would you like to merge and transform?]
He confirmed.
[Under fusion transformation...]
[Fusion Transformation Successful!]
"Is this really successful?" Zach looked around, but everything seemed unchanged. The 3D virtual map didn't show any alterations either.
"Where's the change?" Zach asked the system directly.
[The host can go to the prompt area.]
Prompt area?
Zach noticed a prompt showing [7 meters] in the direction of the driver's seat.
He got up and moved closer. Once highlighted, it became clear.
There was a new button on the console, marked with a sickle pattern.
Zach sat in the driver's seat and pressed the button.
A sharp whooshing sound filled the air!
Out of the corner of his left eye, Zach saw something reflecting moonlight beneath the car.
He pressed the button again!
This time, he saw clearly: Four death scythes were concealed beneath the front and rear corners of the chassis.
The moment he pressed the button, they extended rapidly, moving with blinding speed and impressive strength—capable of smashing through almost anything.
The button had two options: continuous swipe or single swipe.
Zach imagined how extreme this caravan would become after weeks of transformation.
His backpack was filled with countless powerful resources, just waiting to be used!
The thought of it made him even more excited.
With the seatbelt fastened, he started the car.
This RV now had an extra attack skill—fighting just the air had become far too boring.
Zach was eager to test its strength against zombie monsters.
Ideally, he hoped for a wave of corpses.
He selected a one-kilometer radius for the skill's effect.
A ten-kilometer radius would be too much, and he wasn't sure if the caravan had the energy for that.
[Sucking monsters...]
[Successful suction monster!]
The system message completed, and before Zach could react, a horde of zombies—ordinary zombies, giant zombies, brain eaters, zombie dogs, and zombie wolves—appeared out of nowhere.
They soared through the air, like garbage bags tossed around in a storm, before plummeting back down to the ground.
Zach estimated that nearly a thousand zombies appeared, accumulating into small hills as they rolled and climbed.
"Ugh!"
"Wooooow!"
Without exception, upon hearing the RV's engine, the zombies and beasts were driven into a berserk frenzy, as if they were about to flood the entire area.
One misstep, and Zach's flesh would be devoured by the competition.
"Master, do you need me to deal with them?" Miria stood up, ready to help.
"No need, don't waste your energy on this," Zach replied, shaking his head.
"Yes," Miria said without further insistence, sitting back down.
Zach watched as the undead swarmed, closing in to within three or four meters.
Boom! Boom! Boom...
The noise was constant as they crashed into the front and rear of the car, but Zach felt no pain.
He simply waited for them to initiate their demise.
He pressed the button.
Holding it down for three seconds, the RV's knife-swinging mode activated.
The blades flashed in the night, and blood splattered across the windows like a net.
The stumps of zombies flew through the air as the death scythes quickly reduced them to pieces, vanishing out of view.
Zach estimated the range of each scythe to be around seven or eight meters.
Buzz! Buzz! Buzz...
The speed was so fast that the swinging blades created afterimages, almost like the blades of a meat grinder.
Zach pushed the accelerator, eager to begin the real harvest.
