Chapter 20: Blame, Aspen is Thy Name

The whispers started a few days later. I couldn't make out what anyone was saying. It was that feeling, though. The one you get when you walk into a room, and everyone stops talking. You know you're the subject, but you can't prove it. The feeling made me itchy.

I asked Evan about it later, and his eyes went all weird, and he left me standing there alone.

I tried ignoring it, but the whispers grew louder and the looks longer.

It wasn't long until they confronted me, led by…you guessed it.

Rory, the flaming b*tch herself.

They waited for me before training class. Several girls leaned against the wall, watching the hallway for their subject to walk by.

Aka me.

When she spotted me, Rory pushed away from the wall.

"Tell us what you did with them," she greeted me with.

My brow furrowed.

"Excuse me?"
