Abigail flipped back her wavy, balayage hair and glared at the driver. "Where are we going?"
The man was Nicholas's personal driver and bodyguard. He knew very well what was going on, and how much Mr. Harrison hates the Dawson family. So he didn't bother replying and continued to drive.
However, he didn't know his little action fueled her anger even more. She instantly lifted her leg and kicked the driver's seat from the back, shocking the man so much that he nearly ran into a bus!
But he easily handled the car despite the situation and yelled, "Mrs. Harrison! What are you doing?!"
"What am I doing?!" Abigail glared at the man and crossed her arms on her chest, saying, "I've been asking you one simple question, and you can't even answer that! You deserve to be killed!"
Huh?!!!!
The man blinked and felt the lady kick behind his seat once again. A layer of cold sweat formed on his back as he heard her speaking loudly. Her voice filled with utter anger as if he had killed her lover or something.
"You dog! You dare to ignore me, huh?! Let me show you what happens if you ignore me!"
She continued to kick furiously as the driver tried his best to continue driving, and when he couldn't he directly rushed the car to the roadside and stopped it.
"Mrs. Harrison! Are you mad?! You could have died in that accident!"
"That's even wonderful! I can finally return to my own world!" Abigail firmly believed that she was dreaming, and that the only way for her to stop this absurd dream was to die.
The driver was even more alarmed after hearing her words. He was about to fish out his phone and call his boss when he heard her yelling once again.
"What are you doing?! Just go on the road!" Abigail's voice was filled with traces of anger and disappointment. "I want to die!"
The driver now wanted to cry. How did things turn from wanting to know where they were going to Mrs. Harrison trying her best to kill herself?! He couldn't get her thoughts at all!
He still tried to reason with her. "Mrs. Harrison… Please, listen to me, okay?" His voice was full of coaxing as he said carefully, "If you die, who's going to take revenge against your mother?"
"Revenge?" Abigail mouthed those words as she made a thoughtful expression on her face. Her anger died down terribly faster as if it were never there. She seemed as if she had transformed into a calm and composed lady just in a matter of a second.
But the driver didn't calm down. He still felt a trace of fear in his heart at the moment.
Honestly, he didn't know whether what he was saying was correct or not. But from what he had heard, the mother-and-daughter relationship of the Dawson family wasn't good. In fact, Abigail's mom hated the lady, but since she doesn't have any other child, she took care of her daughter despite the hatred.
From her birth to adulthood, Chloe Dawson made sure to give her daughter all kinds of lessons to excel in today's world, from playing piano to managing the business. Lady Abigail knew everything like the back of her hands, thanks to her mother. But in the process, the two's relationship dumped down faster than ever. Their relationship turned so bitter that mother and daughter didn't want to see one another even for a moment.
Now that the Dawson corporation was facing financial difficulties, Chloe didn't hesitate to put her own daughter on sale, throwing her to the Harrison family for a bunch of money. This event made Abigail a laughingstock in the business and entertainment world.
Of course, the fact that his boss hated the entire Dawson family was another matter in itself, and he was merely using Abigail to vent his years and years of anger pent up in his stomach.
Sigh, the lady doesn't have it easy.
The driver suddenly felt a trace of sympathy in his heart for the girl sitting behind him. No wonder she's so willful. Who wouldn't be after growing up in such a strict and unloving environment?
On the other side, Abigail's mind drifted off to a completely different topic in itself. There was a reason why she wrote that kind of setting in the first place. In real life, Chloe Dawson was also the name of her mother, who had abandoned her because of her mental condition in early childhood.
Of course, when Abigail was an ignorant child, she would often await her mother's arrival excitedly, but later, she realized Chloe didn't like her at all and only visited to keep up with the pretenses in public. That's when she even hated the name Chloe Dawson.
So when she had just started writing this novel, she specifically gave the villain her own name and the first person the character killed was her own mother. Since she couldn't do it in reality, she would definitely kill the woman in her novel!
To the entire world, Abigail Dawson was merely a mental patient who shouldn't be taken seriously, but she also had her own thoughts, and she was also intelligent enough. If she weren't intelligent, how could she write such a novel with an intricate backstory of every freaking character?!
Of course, things were different now that her fiction turned into reality. Was this merely a dream?
She would like it to be her dream so that she could wake up in her own room one day. But if it wasn't, she would be in deep trouble playing a villain. The ending she had planned for the villain was even more terrible, and she didn't want to die like that.
After all, even if she didn't write it on her laptop, who knew whether it would come out to be true or not? She wouldn't take that risk.
So for now, she would restrain herself from killing her mother with her own hands. But that didn't mean she would refrain herself from taking another kind of revenge. The driver's words pleased her greatly as she showed a pleasant smile on her face.
"You… What's your name?" Abigail had calmed down completely as she leaned back like a seductive young woman with a mole on the corner of her lips.
The driver's palms were sweaty as he held the steering wheel. "Adam… Mrs. Harrison."
Abigail nodded as she leaned in and asked sweetly as if she had transformed into an angel, "Now tell me, what's your plan?"
