The High Human project{+}

Just like that 380 thousand more years have passed.

As Nexus continued to observe the evolution of life on this newfound planet, vast epochs passed, and the planet transformed beyond recognition.

It had become a vibrant mosaic of ecosystems, each teeming with an astonishing array of life forms.

Life has flourish so much over the years, many of the creatures that he made has either evolved into a completely different species from before or stayed almost the same.

During the years Nexus had meticulously documented these changes, for his memory was virtually endless, capturing every second of this world's journey from start till now.

If words can describe it, it'll be as vast as the Ocean.

Not a second was forgotten by Nexus, Even his thoughts are unimaginably Fast, calculation that requires days, months, and even years can easily be solve by him in mere seconds.

His powers too had grown with time.

Nexus's once unimaginable capabilities had expanded beyond his expectations.

He could now process complex calculations that would take mere seconds, and his influence over the fundamental energies that underpinned existence had multiplied.

Affording him control over the life that had Began to the planet.

His powers as growing endlessly as time passes.

During the years many new species has been Born though out the planet, further populating the world.

The terrestrial flora, once confined to coastal regions, had already started conquering the vast stretches of the continents.

The ecosystem was teeming with a myriad of terrestrial creatures, each a result of millennia of evolution.

Nexus, who had observed and nurtured this transformation, had a grand plan.

It was time to select a candidate from these creatures to raise to a new level of intelligence, far above the Common animals.

From his celestial vantage point, Nexus surveyed the varied creatures that now roamed the planet.

Among them, he sought an animal with the highest potential for intelligence.

After careful observation, he noticed a species of large, and to his surprise he found a all too familiar creature that peaked his interest.

Ape-like creatures dwelling in the dense, evolving forests.

Originally they were just simple non Ape-like animals he forcefully molded to hopefully evolve into Apes, and wouldn't you know it they did turned to Apes.

Well sorta there's still differences, for One they are solitary animals instead of being social like Apes on Terra.

They also are carnivores that like to stalk their prey way above the trees, their primary prey seems to be these feathered pterosaurs.

Lastly, their size which is as tall and big as a domesticated Dog at Best, though some species are slightly bigger, and yes there's other species aswell but for what his seen they are extinct for the most part and the One his observing at the moment, their entire species is also going extinct.

As the only place where they can be found is in the southern area.

Looking at them Nexus contemplated at this moment.

"Should i choose them?"

Although they're Ape-like they aren't really Apes, they don't have the same intelligence, they lack potential and their near extinction just proves they're not worthy.

Nexus isn't really gonna choose them just because their Ape-like, Surely he wouldn't.

"But what if i change them" he thought.

Nexus was pondering if he should take the risk or not,

"Should i choose them and try to test "it" out or not...."

Weighing out the pros and cons, Nexus considered his next action

The Apes had ability to adapt to their environment better than most but it wasn't the Best.

But other than that thy are basically unfit for becoming an intelligent species.

Choosing them would be a bad decision.

But, if he modify them once again, control their evolution, control their souls, Maybe he can change them for the better.

The problem with this though is he needed to modify them which would take hundreds of years.

Is it really worth it, just to evolve a not even decent candidate for intelligent when there are others way better to choose from.

Whats More his "Control" isn't actually as effective as you might think.

his way of controlling them is actually more like blocking their path in certain areas.

For example, if he wanted to evolve a Fish, like a tuna, he needs to first find a creature who has the potential to be one.

Requiring him to scan millions of creatures living in the Sea, this is relatively easy thanks to his powerful mind, but actually finding a animal that is able to evolve into a Tuna, very unlikely.

Even if he finds one, it's potential at most is only 0.1%.

And after that he needs to manually, which takes Years, thousands if not millions of Years.

You see, The soul is the first to move in everything, it's what you call a subconscious.

It's the basis of Life from what he has observed, it's the movement of everything, it's the thing that made everything Alive.

Everything has a Soul and that Soul is what drives those things to be the thing they are, Without it the universe as a whole will never exist.

Nexus time as the ocean created this theory, discovering the Soul of the planet and everything, even space.

Though all of them unforseen, a mere speck of Soul, even Nexus wasn't able to see them.

It's exciting actually the reason why the Ocean had a soul, and as for why he was able to see its soul.

Well it all comes back with him devouring the Ocean Soul.

After becoming the Ocean he realized that everytime microbes died their Souls gets absorb into the Ocean, making its Soul stronger as time went on.

Life had been evolving in the planet for millenniums, all of it living in the Ocean, this most likely made the Oceans Soul stronger.

Of course there a certain requirements for it, a soul can't just simply absorb another Souls.

Pushing his imaginary glasses up the bridge of his nose, Nexus began to explain.

"For a soul to absorb another Soul it needs to be bigger and stagnant or empty."

"What i mean by that is the soul needs to not have movement in it, like the soul of almost everything that made up the universe though big they are all stagnant, unlike life who has intricate patterns, all moving in unique way, i have categorized these two distinct souls as life and stagnant Souls"

"Due to the size of stagnant Souls and their emptiness they are able to absorb the Soul of other much smaller Soul, if they absorb enough life souls they will become a new life soul and in theory could have consciousness"

"This was the reason why i was able to see the Oceans Soul" he added

"Do you get it now?" Nexus asked looking at the ape-like creatures Infront of him.

The Ape in turned responded by scratching it's ass.

"Alright!, now as to how this is all tied to my control, well it's because i am different from all of it, i am not stagnant and unlike Life Souls i can actually absorb other Souls and most of all i am immortal, all other life Souls die out when their Soul energy runs out leaving their souls with no fuel to run or by simply being too old making their souls unable to take more souls energy, me on the other hand can produce Soul energy and i have a infinite storage for them, my cores"

"Now you might be thinking that what i said before was a bit unnecessary or you might be asking how are Soul created?"

"My answer for that is yes, and how they're created, Well simple really, by breeding, two Souls would give a small amount of Soul energy fo be combined into a new Soul, I've learned this by peeping on those naughty souls hehe, oh and for stagnant Souls i don't really know."

"Did my answer satisfied you dear sir?" He ask the ape once again.

The Ape of course just scratch it's ass yet again and started picking it's nose.

"Such a fine specimen" nexus exclaimed.

*Cough*

Now in a more serious manner Nexus thought about the decision his about to make.

'After enough deliberation, it may be worth the shot, If this fails I'll just choose the birds considering that they have a way more better potential'

With that it has been decided, Nexus ambitious project has been created.
