5-29

Yu Qingyu yawned, walking through a misty, empty campus, which was yet to wake up from its sleep. He had just finished his shift, and wanted to visit Liu Wei, but the person who changed him was Shan Tiegang. Not wanting to raise any suspicions, he first directed his steps toward the dorms, and only once he was sure that he could no longer be spotted from the watchtower, he changed direction and sneakily crept toward the school building instead.

Once again, he had a part of his ration hidden in his pocket. Ever since that first night, Liu Wei kept refusing him, saying that there was no need, because he now received some food as well, but Yu Qingyu still brought something with him every day, just in case. The leftovers then became his breakfast, as he gave away the fresh rations to Zhang Kanya and the kids, only leaving a tiny bit to himself. He had no appetite anyway. He could only force himself to swallow so much.
