Chapter 6

Alpha Damon’s POV:

On a rusty evening in my park “Blue Moon Park” , feets thumping on rocks beside the river, the maid servants are washing fabrics of my family. The wave sound from the river is so calm and refreshing.

Inside my household, you hear basins, plates, silver cups clattering as they are been washed for dinner.

Everybody was about their duties.

Meanwhile, almost half the blue moon pack were dragging me by the neck on concerns about drought they are currently suffering from. Some even engage in fight over water...

There's been issue of water scarcity in some parts of the blue moon community. Though it haven't affected my very own water source, I felt too rest assured about it.

"We need help, we could barely see water to cook nor bath”, the people’s complaints sounded outside my residential area.

More could lead to a full demonstration…

Now people, in different clans and ranks, have gathered so they held a council meeting to find solutions.

Messengers who were sent to check out places affected and give reasons as to why it happened, came back. They evaluated and said it will be less than a week left for the resources to dry out. But at the end of it all, nothing, no point was raised to stop the drought, there was no progress.

They dismissed for another day.

Lebotha, my dear wife/Luna is distressed trying to get some water from the well as there is no single maiden around, she had sent them all out in anger…

She fetched the water and bred a cool bath for her hubby, after all its a good way and time to get down all her concerns to me.

"The water is ready baby”, Lebotha said as she breaths out.

" OK, I'm just taking my clothes off”,I enters the bathroom, hung my fur robe over the door and sits on the bathtub staring at Lebotha to join me.

Well, Lebotha wants to be heard so she pretended like she got other things to do as she slowly moves to leave the bathroom.

"Hey baby, where you going? Come let's do this together, been a week…you know”, I talked considerably and concerned.

Lebotha turned and smirked. "OK darling”, she responded.

While we sat on the bathtub, Lebotha caresses my chest with the little hairs on it then gave it to me how he likes it.

Aww! Oou! I moaned. I was filled with relief and in the seventh heaven, that the community matters discussed earlier in the day that was bothering me didn't matter…

Suddenly, Lebotha kept still, her face changes and looked real squeezed. Carrying her body away, leaning opposite to me on the other side of the bathtub.

''What is it, my love", I said anxiously.

Lebotha kept quiet. "My love tell me what's bothering you so I get it settled. Is it me?", I continued.

But then Lebotha mentions “Rose''. "Yes, What's up with Rose?”, I asked.

"Well I don't like that she is there with Alpha king Alex”, she said while folding her hands.

"You see what happened at the mating ceremony right? She's probably not safe there either”, I said to Lebotha.

"Probably!! Yes probably!!”, Lebotha chips in.

"What if they begin to get comfortable with each other, you know how this things happen…then she becomes the Almighty Lycan's favorite...”,She continued.

"Okay, what do you want to do? Go get get her back? Or alter the moon goddess's decision. I hope I know you don't want me in so much trouble cause I have one already and it's getting me crazy,” I complained.

(I got up, picked my towel and fur robe)

"Wait! So you are really leaving?likes it's not worth talking about”, Lebotha speaks up.

"What about Lisa? She should be the one in that place,mated to the Alpha king and not that traitor daughter”,Lebotha speaks condescendingly.

I left without saying a word.

"What the hell got into the “Moon goodess” head to bond Rose and him. That must be an error”, Lebotha murmured alone, and furiously slaps her hands against the bathing water which some coincidentally splashed out to her face.

"Shit!”,She cursed innerly as she gets up to find her undies.

I already headed out for some peace of mind.

I know when Mathias was still here, we were not from the same mother but he actually showed me affection. He was a good man to the people, wise and strong unlike me.

Also in the family,everyone liked him including our late father. I felt like I'm invisible, yes because he was always the talk of the town.

Whenever he enters he takes the spotlight away from me. I didn't transfer my jealousy and hate unto Rose though neither do I care.

Yes I envied him and here I am taking after his position. I hope our beloved father guides me.

After all, Matias wasn't by the same mother as me, Alpha Damon King speaked as he held softly onto his old mother's hand laying on a bed unhealthy like it's a countdown for her to rest forever.

Later, Lisa and Hailey comes back to the house.

"Mum!”, Lisa called out.

" Hey my sweet daughter”, Lebotha answers.

"Hey Mum, can you believe that? That silly gritty girl is in the Crescent moon park with the Alpha king”, Lisa moans in distraught.

"Yes I talked to your father about it not long ago and he was whinning like a child that wants sweet, you know that nonchalant behavior of his”,Lisa's mother vents out.

"Mum!? Seriously?”,Hailey said sofly uncomfortable with her mother's choice of words.

"What's your problem? Hailey, doesn't it bother you,any of this ?”,Lisa unpleasantly tells Hailey.

"Anyway I'm out of here, I can't talk about this with you guys now”, Hailey responds.

"Yes, better go babysit Lucas”, her mother said to her(scoffs).

"Better”, Hailey replied.

"What do she even want, I don't understand her sometimes”,Lebotha says to Lisa.

"Maybe, some attention…”, Lisa answered as they chuckled smoothly.

Hailey's POV:

My mother and older sister can sometimes be piece of shit, I muttered to myself angrily after overhearing them mock me behind my back. I bet that's what you usually get for being the last, but thank goodness Lucas was born.

He's my cute little brother, my father was in great excitement to his birth. He is his heir… the next Alpha of Blue moon pack, Hailey smiles…

Oh I just remembered, poor Rose. I don't understand why she has so much hate, can someone be hated because of her beauty, unique hair, shape? I don't know but for me these things don't bother me.

I'm not an introvert but I prefer spending time alone. I am very sensitive to issues of fairness and may become upset when I see others being mistreated or taken advantage of. Rose is facing a lot and backing her means betraying Lisa and mother.

Mm uh maybe It's only good I worry about her…
