Leon's seat was empty.
Sometimes, I felt like something was missing. For example, he would no longer lazily come over to my seat to hand in his homework in the morning.
When I came back from PE class, no one would suddenly take out a lollipop from his pocket and stuff it into my hand.
I couldn't even find anyone to help me when I had a problem with my studies.
We would be taking the college test the next year, so our class schedule was very tight. To keep up with the schedule, teachers in the science classes worked even harder than those in other classes.
Exams were becoming more frequent. My grades seemed to be slowly improving.
I suddenly remembered that every time I did well in an exam, Leon would praise me. Now that he was gone, I didn't know who to share my joy with.
Time passed by quickly, like the passing clouds.
My life was again a dull routine. Maybe it was not accurate to put it that way.
