How One Student Ended the School Bullying

I froze and couldn’t move when I heard the news.

I told my mom that I had killed Tarina.

My mom slapped me and said, “Don’t talk nonsense! She killed herself by jumping off a building!”

“She was cyberbullied and driven to suicide because of my lies!”

“That’s on those cyberbullies, not you!”

I gagged and vomited.

I told my mom, “Return the money, I want to go out and tell the truth, that the video is real and that Tarina deserves justice.”

My mom slapped me again. “Do you want Yoda to die too?”

“I never meant to hurt Yoda, ever. He has a life, but so do others!”

“The money wasn’t ours to begin with, but Tarina's life was hers!”

“Mom! Why are you always pushing me? Why do you always use Yoda to push me?”

I screamed with all my strength.

My mom said, "Who’s putting pressure on whom? If you hadn’t gotten involved with her, would any of this have happened? Would we have had to deal with Yeva’s dad?"
