After the faint sounds of thunder, the raindrops were getting heavier. The droplets of water fell on William's hoodie. Soon, his hoodie was soaked.
William parked the electric scooter at the small shop by the side of the road and said, "Go inside and have a seat. I'll go hail a taxi. You'll catch a cold if you get drenched."
The sky was gloomy, like a cloudy glass dome. As I was thinking of something else, I absentmindedly said, "Okay." When I got down from the scooter, I tripped over, and a long red mark appeared on the inner side of my lower leg. It was the disadvantage of preferring to wear a skirt instead of trousers.
He helped me sit down in the café and immediately squatted down to check the wound. "Wait a moment. I remember there is a pharmacy at the intersection over there."
"No need. It's just scratched skin." I bent down and stared at him. "You are so kind to me."
"Unfortunately, it's not enough. Otherwise, my internship would have ended early."
