I didn't know exactly what Damon meant by that. After all, he was sort of one of my blind dates.
Was he comforting me or...
I didn't dare to think about it deeper.
Three days later, Maria was discharged from the hospital.
Damon said he caught a cold and wanted to get some medicine, so he went to the hospital with me.
Then, I found that Maria's medical expenses had been paid.
"Was it that guy again?" asked Maria.
Maria had been hospitalized several times in the past year, but someone paid for her medical expenses secretly. I asked around about it but didn't get an answer, so I didn't even know who to thank.
"Are you done? Let's go."
With two boxes of medicine in her hands, Damon came over. And the figure that flashed around the corner looked like Dr. Brown.
I didn't care too much about it. I said apologetically, "Mr. Gray, the oil money you spent this time is enough to buy a bunch of cold medicine."
