It took more than nine hours to drive back. We rested twice in the service area along the way. I posted earlier photos to pretend I was still on vacation. I also used an app to change my locations and then posted.
It was 7:30 p.m. when I arrived near the sanatorium.
I hid in the car and changed into a hospital gown and tidied up my hair. Then I sent a text message to Kelvin who had come back on the train one day earlier.
Five minutes after the message was sent out, someone knocked on my car window.
Kelvin was wearing the uniform of a deliveryman and a hat, the brim pressed low.
I unlocked the door, and Kelvin opened the passenger door and got in.
"You look good in this outfit." I nodded with appreciation.
"You look good too, but too good for a patient." Kelvin tilted his head and looked at me.
I quickly took out my concealer and pressed it on my lips. Now I looked haggard and fragile.
