The VR glasses Shawn was wearing were taken off. The scene in front of him shifted and then returned to normal. The person standing in front of him was the manager. Shawn could see right away that it was his dark subconscious. He went back to the time when he was checking the surveillance footage.


"Officer, what do you think of our game?"


He heard the familiar line again. Shawn stepped in front of the mirror and saw Lionel's face. Everything was fake.


In his subconscious mind, Shawn once told him that there was no truth here. Death was the only way out.


That was right. Only death could protect him.


He went to the convenience store across the street and bought a fruit knife. Then, he went to the street and unwrapped the package. Another Shawn looked at him from a distance and looked grim.


Without hesitation, Shawn stabbed the tip of the knife into his carotid artery.
