The Fitness Camp

We came to the north of the training center.

It was the only route leading up to the mountain.

Coach Carter stood by, his face stern as he looked at us. "The path to Mont Blanc is known as one of the most challenging mountain treks in the world," he said. "Although it's not as difficult here, the highest peak here stands over 10,000 feet above sea level. The distance to the nearest hill and back is approximately 5 miles. If you move quickly, you should be able to make it back before dark."

Hearing his words, my heart suddenly skipped a beat.

Memories flooded back to me of my previous attempt at glacier hiking in Mont Blanc, where I had only made it halfway before giving up.

I couldn't help but feel afraid that no one in the group would be able to reach the top of the nearest hill.
