I was trembling.

A rise in norepinephrine would result in tense muscles, a rapid heartbeat, and keen senses.

I couldn't help but think the women were real people because they seemed so real. At least, they were high-quality bionic women.

The only place in the room that remained unopened was the drawer of the bedside table. In this old building, there should be no hidden doors. The drawer key was inserted into the lock and it was unlocked. I gently yanked on it, and it instantly opened.

The brown notebook's cover appeared to be leather, with visible wrinkles. The page had turned yellow, and some of the paper was stained with ink. The marks left by the unknown dried liquid were still visible.

Could it be tears?

The thick written notebook was filled with his ideas and experiments.
