The gangsters had temporarily canceled the signal blocking. I used all my acting skills and finally managed to deceive the gangsters and tell the police where we were.
All that was left was waiting. I smiled, handed over my phone purposefully, returned to Mr. Cotton's side, and squatted down.
"Miss Garcia, I didn't expect you to be so good at making up stories. Disability in one of my body parts? What part exactly?"
I squeezed out an awkward smile.
As a secretary, I always respected Mr. Cotton and had never talked to him like that.
"Sorry, boss, we're in danger now. I just wanto save us!"
He looked at me with a frown and then asked, "Make it or not?"
"Of course, yes!" I smiled and answered.
However, my smile froze the next second because I realized that the gangsters had brought a bomb with them.
They were coming to me.
They tied the bomb to my waist.
