After that, my memories are disjointed.
I heard the blaring of an ambulance, saw the lights of the hospital hallway passing over my head, and felt the effects of medication.
Then, I had a dream.
In the dream, there was a fog.
Suddenly, a thin but powerful hand grabbed me.
"Daphne, let's get out of here," he said softly, "I'll take you out."
The misty air revealed his handsome figure and face.
But I immediately broke free from his grip and pushed him out.
I didn't want to see him.
At least, I couldn't let him see me in my current state.

When I woke up, Terence was by my bed.
He noticed I was awake and sat up abruptly, asking if I was thirsty, hungry, or feeling uncomfortable in any way.
When I didn't respond, he ran out into the hallway, calling for a doctor.
For the next few days, he stayed at my house, cooking, cleaning, and cutting fruit for me.
