At this moment, a familiar voice came from the door of the caf®¶. "Allie!"

Kristin and I turned around at the same time.

It was Matthew.

Matthew walked quickly over and seemed to be stunned for a moment when he saw Kristin. Matthew then looked at me with a frown.

"Why did you come to the company all of a sudden?"

Looking at his expression, I understood in a moment.

Matthew thought I was here to make things difficult for Kristin.

"Matthew," said Kristin, standing up. "I'm sorry to bother you again. I have several public education projects here, the ones I mentioned to you last time. I happen to have some time today, so I want to talk to you about the projects."

"Okay, I'll ask my secretary to lead you upstairs," Matthew said. Matthew then called Nelson, who was standing at the door. Later, Nelson left with Kristin.

I thought Matthew would follow Kristin up, but he remained standing in place and looked at me.
