Flat-Brim Samurai Chapter 11
They got their weapons and headed back to the training area before being told once more by Hiroto ,"Hajime" and thus the fighting continued. The two of them released their auras at once again, shrouding their weapon this time with the technique that Hiroto taught them not too long ago called Art: Imbue. Apollo being the more ferocious of the two decided to swing first. A side swing to the abdomen was blocked by Cias's refined spear movement on the "blunt" end. WHACK WHACK WHACK Cias hit Apollo quickly in succession dodging all of Apollo's not very refined sword movements. Apollo trying to mimic what he saw in his father, adjusted his weight and balance accordingly. Hiroto noticing this smirked once more (Is he adapting off of what my son did for HIS training? He didn't even get taught this directly!?! THAT'S AMAZING) seeing his grandson just starting on his path to mastery of the sword.
,"COME AT ME APOLLO, MORE MORE MORE" Cias shouted ," I'M DOIN ALL I CAN JACKASS" Apollo shouted, slightly irritated, began to swing worse but tensed his resolve and focused on his technique once more. The fighting on day 1 had finished and day 2 was rolling along quite nicely with the both of them getting further connected to their weapons. They both were starting to see their weapons not as just a further means of attack but as a part of their own bodies. The only way to get perfected weapons play is to connect to your weapon on the spiritual level, like you and your equipment are the same thing. Once that happens, it becomes a part of you not by physical connection but at the spiritual level. It will reside as part your soul, waiting until called upon and will evolve and get stronger alongside you in a phenomenon called assimilation. This phenomena is extremely hard to obtain and only a select few people in every universe have obtained this.
The more technical and stronger they became the bigger the shockwaves they were putting off from each of their strikes. Air pressure peaked after each encounter. Luckily for them a barrier was put up by Hiroto to stop the damage from getting anywhere other than where it's supposed to. The duos sensing abilities were getting more vigilant as the battle progressed, they were sensing the micromovements that made up an action to understand how to dodge their opponent and perfect their own move set. (I can't believe this) Cias thought ,"I thought you said you were a novice with the sword" Cias said ,"I pick up quickly, but you're just as great" Apollo replied, and Hiroto shouted back at the two ,"GET BACK TO WORK, STOP TALKING" and the two obliged.
The 2nd day had passed and half of the day they were on had gone too. Cias was getting better but not at the rate of Apollo because he knew more at this moment. Apollo had gotten to a point where the basics were finally his to use. Of course they were a little rough around the edges but for where he was in terms of age and training it was insane. All that being said, it's much easier to shed the marble of a sculpture than to refine it and make a beautiful statue. SWOOSH BAM BAM SWOOSH ,"Huh" Apollo had hit Cias, not amazing to a person watching but that difference was enough to put a smile and greater confidence in Apollo. Apollo was getting to Cias's level and he wasn't happy thus Cias wanted to show Apollo the true difference of their strength because of his deflated ego. He began to get himself in a position to start a special move he was practicing with his own father that would "teach" Apollo his place on the strength ladder. He applied his technique and strength to Art: Spear Thrust and began the strike. This strike was moving at the speed of sound thus Hiroto had to step in. Moving faster than the spear he caught it with his bare hands and said ,"I think we're done for today" looking disappointedly at Cias's behavior. Cias said ,"Sorry sir, It won't happen again" ,"Okay, but we're done for now. I want to guys to rest for a whole day and think about what you guys did during the fight. And I might even tell you some of my old battle stories over dinner if you want, so go to bed and write in your journals I gave you. The technique you guys showed today was amazing but think about what you could improve on, that is all" and thus the duo went to their rooms, wrote in their journals, thought to themselves (going through their technique and battle strategies) and went to bed, ending the exhausting week long battle training session.
