"You will come with me, Adrian. Or your corpse will!!!" The hybrid roared at Adrian.
Adrian, however was not deterred and gave a casual 'no' for an answer. His reluctance drove the hybrid mad as it darted towards Adrian in full speed but Adrian gracefully dodged to the side, evading the creature's claws.
They both punched, kicked and dodged until the hybrid slashed Adrian at his back, giving him four long and nasty gashes.
"Now I'm pissed." Adrian said. He looked at his hands and noticed that they were undergoing a new change. His fingers became longer, sharper and more solid. More like talons, also the pain the gashes at his back were giving him subsided in mere seconds. He felt his back.
The wound was gone.
The hybrid's face betrayed an uncanny fear but it was quick to replace it with an angry stare. The creature then flew towards Adrian with rage again but he casually dodged and caught it's left wing. The hybrid creature was now overwhelmed by fear because Adrian had a very tight grip on his wing and no matter how it flapped and thrashed, Adrian didn't let go of the wing.
In the middle of the hybrid's thrashing, Adrian lifted his other hand and using the talons, cut off the wing he was holding completely.
The hybrid began plummeting towards the woods below again, this time, faster.
It fell on a bush clearing and immediately stood, all its senses at alert for Adrian.
Few seconds later, Adrian swooped down like an eagle about to pick up a snake and dashed into the hybrid, giving it a knee jab to the face. The creature flew backward for a bit then fell totally weak and injured. Adrian walked towards it and saw it spitting out a black substance, which happens to be its blood.
"Ugh. What the hell are you?" Adrian asked, disgusted by the sight of the hybrid throwing up more blood.
It looked up at him with its blacked out eyes again.
"Your nemesis." The hybrid said and tried to punch Adrian again.
Crack!!
Adrian blocked the punch with his cubit, which made him surprised as that action made the hybrid's fingers to be completely broken. The hybrid then tried again with its other hand but Adrian parried that attack again and punched the hybrid in the face. The creature immediately rebounded and kicked Adrian at the side, which made him wince a little.
It wanted to punch again but Adrian was faster as he held its fist and furiously punched its cubit, fracturing the bone and making the creature screech loudly that birds in nearby trees flew off, scared.
"No more debate now, demon. I'll send you to hell now, and then the motherf*cker who sent you will be joining you soon." Adrian said and impaled the hybrid in the chest with his talons. When he held back his hand from the big crevice he created in the hybrid's chest, in his hand was the creature's heart, pumping black blood.
He looked back at the hybrid and observed that the creature wasn't moving and just hung with it's eyes and mouth still open.
He looked around and saw a cliff nearby. Looking down, he saw a flowing creek of clear water. Without hesitation, he jumped in and washed the black blood off himself. He also washed the heart and was surprised at what he found out.
"Human heart?" He wondered aloud.
He looked at his shirt. It was ruined with several tears here and there, not to mention the tear behind him which gave him that nasty gash that healed up.
He took off the shirt and tore it to shreds in anger. He was angry because that was his favorite t-shirt and it was ruined. He looked at the hybrid again after flying up the cliff.
"Bury it? Pah! you wish." He said and kicked the creature over the cliff, into the creek below. He looked at the heart and put it in a plastic bag which previously contained snacks from the airport.
BOOM!
SHRIEK!
He heard a deafening explosion and a loud shriek. The explosion was deafening to a normal human being but the shriek was loud because his super hearing ability was active due to excess adrenaline coursing through him.
He looked up and saw that the explosion was caused by the plane's left engine blowing up and the right was emitting black smoke. Without hesitation or wasting time, he flew up to the plane in an effort to save the passengers. He thought of many things to do.
"Fly them to the airport myself? There's too many of them. And besides if I'm too late, I may lose the last batch of passengers."
He looked at the plane again. "I lifted a Lexus car and felt nothing. Maybe I can bear the weight of this plane. I'll land this plane myself."
He flew towards the plane at blistering speed and put his hands on it from beneath it. Then slowly, he began pushing, which gave it a dent in the sturdy metal sheet.
Bearing its weight, he began pushing upwards, in an opposite direction to the falling plane. Slowly, the plane's weight was becoming lesser and was slowly gaining altitude.
Even the pilot noticed this and wondered how a plane with a damaged engine and the other engine at 20% capacity, can still gain altitude.
Adrian slowly turned the plane towards the airport it lifted off from and began slowly moving towards it. Soon, he landed and stood, then dropped the plane like he would a heavy crate.
He flexed him muscles a bit, which gave out a report of bone-cracking sounds. Also he moves his face to his left and right, his neck making cracking sounds.
Five minutes after landing the plane, the doors still haven't opened. He flew to the pilot's window and inquired what the issue was using sign language.
"No power." The pilot scribbled on a piece of paper using a marker. Luckily, he understood sign language, but didn't know how to use it.
Adrian thought for a while and shrugged to himself. Then he ripped open the door of the plane with his talons and helped each passenger out one after the other.
When the plane landed and Adrian helped everyone out, people flooded out of the waiting area to hug their relatives and loved ones.
"Just wait in the waiting area for me mom. I'll come pick you up, okay? Adrian said as he helped Nancy down the plane while she smiled and nodded positively like a teenage girl.
Adrian turned around and saw everyone either staring at him, taking pictures or making videos of him. He became the main attraction at the airport that even the men at the observatory had to come down to witness the sight of him themselves.
Adrian looked around and figured it was time for him to pick his mom. He slowly flapped his wings and lifted himself into the air slowly and with a Sonic boom, he lifted himself into the clouds and flew home.
