Husk Corpses

Clang Clang Clang thud, 

 A group of players were in a fierce entanglement with a group of beasts but even despite the beasts being higher leveled they were not able to overpower the players, the players had a great level of coordination, they understood each other without the need for words or signals.

 Leading them was a handsome young man he had an ethereal feel around him, his otherworldly beauty had a masculine touch to it as such it wasn't possible to mistake him for a woman, green eyes only made him more eye catching and he was shockingly already at Lv20.

 He was one of the pro players and could even be said to be the best among them.

 Slowly after a grueling and tiring battle they began to kill the monsters and soon they had dealt with all the monsters that attacked them.

 This is more difficult than I thought, a player said after they had finished dealing with all the monsters around them hay Kai you think you can increase the pay he said in a friendly way while trying not to sound awkward, the one address as Kai which is the lead player just started at him and said nothing.

 Kai walked towards the cave in front of them and disappeared into it, finally it was time to claim my legendary class.

 Firming his resolve he moved on in in search of a legendary class.

 Bang Bang Clang, I was training with the Minotaur again although every moment was life threatening if he got lost in the battle like before it was the only way I could refine my moves and gain a better understanding of my skills which was also important even more than levels.

 It had been three days since we started to live in the mountain, by now we had settled in completely and my followers had started to carry out the orders I gave them, first was the elite team all beasts that had a potential higher than fifteen were put into the elite team this team was our trump card and currently there were twenty two monsters the seventeen that survived the war with the Fire Tigers and give more who had potential of fifteen although one of them had potential of seventeen.

 Although the Plated Eagles who attacked the Fire Tigers were not so strong or had great potential after the battle I had put an eye on them and constantly groomed them even giving them some potential pills and because of that all of them had a potential of fifteen except one whose potential was fourteen and they had already been told the more effecient way to absorb the beast cores than just eating it, and they had started to under I special training regime I had put together in order to increase their coordination and team work abilities so overall the elite team plan seemed to be okay and working.

 Clang Clang Clang Bang 

 Our battle continued and I was hit heavily by his Warhammer as I wasn't able to dodge in time, my initial plan was tomorrow strong enough to beat the three leaders and unite all the beasts in the mountain before I would proceed with anything else, it had been three days but the humans have shown no sign off attacking and nothing unusual had been seen by my spies/scouts I had placed around the forest.

 I'm spent I retreated slowly while still staying vigilant incase he rushed at me but he didn't, seeing that I sighed in relief.

 Kid you have to grow stronger quickly I'm not even using my full strength the Minotaur said I wasn't surprised the second day of our training he had told me he wasn't using full strength and of course I didn't believe until he smashed me into the ground with one move while my HP was at a dangerous level below five percent since then I could only continue to spare with it and improve myself you don't always get the chance to improve yourself against a stronger opponent without putting your life in danger.

 Thanks for the opportunity I said as I got ready to leave after resting for a while.

 Back in my base everything was going good, my followers comprises of 19 different races and most of them were F- grade I wanted to increase their Bloodline purity but to do that I had to kill or I could wait and stay around them as much as possible so my skill could help in purifying their bloodline although for now I didn't have any solid plans so I was around but later it would be a fools dream to be near them so their bloodline could get purer.

 Boss we have a problem Wolfy said to me through our telephatic link, what is it I thought I had put him in charge of the scouts/spies it looks like the kingdom had started mobilising it's troops bit his answer completely shocked me.

 We came across a bunch of dried up corpse there were nothing left of them except a husk, what do you mean I was shocked speechless although I wasn't completely clueless from the knowledge I got from my class I could tell that there were a couple of ways something like this could happen and almost all of them centered around the same thing life force extraction.

 It's quite simple my skill allowed me to extract the blood essence of dead beasts into bloodline crystals that was just a minor example because I didn't extract their life force just their blood essence although it contained some life force I didn't suck everything there was still the flesh the core and other things but to make it a dried husk like Wolfy said everything had been sucked away.

 I didn't know if this was a plan of the humans but I had to check it out as life force extraction is a very disturbing matter, after finding out Wolfy's position I moved to him he wasn't really so far off if not I would not have been able to communicate with him telephaticly.

 Boss over here Wolfy said as he saw me a few metres away from him around him were several of the scouts who had seen something similar and came to report back to him, I had placed Wolfy in charge of the scouts as with his speed and strength he wasn't in much danger and could easily escape if he encountered any and I had taught him some methods to make his presence less traceable stealth methods and although he was still learning he was prefect for the job.

 Seeing it with my eyes was different it was just a husk that had turned to ash after they had touched it, return to the base immediately and tell all the scouts outside to return I told Wolfy immediately I had a really bad feeling seeing this and felt something could go wrong at any moment although I would not be able to know what is happening outside it was better to have my scouts safe as it was very had to find monsters with the potential to be spies.

 Okay boss Wolfy said and without questioning my order he immediately left for the base with all the other scouts at the same time I triggered a mission.

 It was a mission I didn't even have the option of accepting or not I would still have accepted it as this is something that couldn't be looked over but still it felt like I was being forced somehow.

 Anyway pushing unnecessary thoughts away from mind I focused on the mission at hand, first things first I had to investigate and what better way to do that than turning human, although I wasn't sure they were most likely the ones behind this.

 In a jiffy I had transformed into my human form, I guess no matter how much time I spent as a beast I was still human I was slightly happy to be in this form with two legs and hands and even on my panel it showed I had two forms my human form and beast form the different races were just classified under my beast form.

 I walked around inspecting everything and trying to see if I would come across some humans but nothing happened in the past two hours I had been scouting until I came across something that shocked and at the same time scared me to my core.
