It was already ten o’clock in the evening and nobody was coming. I observed how planes took off and landed through the big windows. I didn’t even notice that Alica disappeared. And so once again I checked my things and documents that I had in my personal baggage. I turned around and saw Alica approaching with an airport employee. The woman in a red suit, with a hat on her head stood in front of us with a solemn expression and began talking: “Dear passengers, I am sorry to have to inform you that you won’t be departing today. There has been an unexpected technical problem on the plane and we also lost connection with the terminal in Montreal. Thanks to the bad weather over the Atlantic the flight is being postponed until 10 a.m. tomorrow. We apologise for the inconvenience, it really was an unanticipated situation. I would also like to ask you to kindly move to terminal C where we have a lounge where you can sleep for the night. Please follow me.”
